my wants (as forget the 1st two, they will be gone)

Lindstrom
Berkly

If we keep ourselves in the no man's land of the bottom half of the top 10, I think Catton is the obvious choice. We need to start drafting for talent.
I think he's going top 5-6. Just because of his stats, seriously. If Celibrini is tier 1 alone, then Catton is in group 2 with Lindstrom, Demidov, Dickinson, Levshunov? We're likely picking outside that range with tier 3, so have to look at the others.

If he's going top 5-6, then that means Lindstrom or Demidov will be there for us.

We are in a perfectly fine position.. there are too many defenseman in this draft for teams that have been rebuilding for awhile and have holes in their prospect pool on defense.

There's no world where the top 6 has Celebrini, Catton, Demidov and Lindstrom gone in it and only two defenseman going.

That's what I think... The dmen are overrated, only 2 of them will be picked and the other 4 will be forwards.

This kid on Suzuki and Slaf's line....yes, please!

Move Caufield to Dach's line with Newhook or Roy. Let them fight it out for the top 6 spot.
Caufield needs guys capable of feeding him and let him play his game, getting him the puck in the open space so he can shoot. A guy like Catton, lol.

I think Celebrini, Silayev, Dickinson, Levshunov are all for sure top 6. Demidov and Lindstrom will likely round that out.

Thanks for the article, but unfortunately I don't have a subscription so I only made it through the first couple paragraphs.

It’s a deep dive in his younger years with stories of bullying, aggressiveness against teammates, using racial slurs, playing for 7 programs over only 4 years (being kicked out of one after only one week). Testimonies of uneasy parents, opposing coaches, and college programs who were already set on not pursuing Connelly for his bad behaviour. It ends mentionning the family hired a PR firm and an attorney to try and discredit the Athletic article, regardless of the fact that they interviewed over 40 witnesses, and is not an opinion piece.

He’s gonna get drafted, he’s too good not to, but what an incredible tool. Bad kid.

Not necessarily, that doesn't change anything for them.. their top prospects are Savoie, Benson, Kulich, and Ostlund.
not familiar with how most of those guys are progressing but are they doing well enough to ignore Demidov or Lindstrom? especially with such a young D core

I get that Eiserman has his issues but I don't see how he isn't included in your elite offensive upside group. The guy has scored more than a goal per game every year since he was 12. There' just no way he's not in that group.

I get that he has warts and the "drive" may not be there. But the upside definitely is.

Latest ranking I've seen. This one's from Daily Faceoff.

3 forwards in the top five.
Interesting write up. If these rankings and our positioning hold true, we could have a shot at both Lindstrom (6'5) and Letourneau (6'7).

Lindstrom for our top 6 and Letourneau in a bottom 6 role for the future.

No lack of size there!

Rankings are all over the map. It’s going to be interesting

I think the 1st line will look better than it is when they actually have backup on the middle 6 and especially the 2nd line. Even if the Habs land a top line talent this draft, I'd rather they play on the 2nd line with Dach if it's a fit as it would make the top 6 more competitive
Was not a reach. All the teams trying to get the Habs 5th pick were trying to get Reinbacher.
I haven’t heard anyone be against the pick who watched him at the WJC. The kid will be a pillar for us

For sure, I am not an expert at all. I am just looking at the progression almost a year after the draft. What Mitchkov is doing is remarkable, almost a PPG in the KHL. He is destroying Kaprizov's number D+1 for example.

I want Reinbacher to succeed like everyone else. What I will not make however, are excuses for lack of production. I understand production is not everything but when you are a top 5 pick, it matters.
Ryan suter was picked around that. Played over 1200 games, 25 min+ a game at 35-45 point seasons. He was no offensive dynamo but I would gladly take that for the next ten years

Letourneau has been my hope with our second 1st rounder as soon as we got it. We might as well try a homerun swing with that pick IMO. The bust potential is pretty high but at his worst he could still be a Nick Bjugstad type, which I can 100% live with.

Benson in the NHL, Kulich is a top AHL goal scorer, and Ostlund is very good. I'd say it would be easier to ignore those guys with how much they've invested in offense vs defense.

They've already got Tuch Thompson Cozens for size. Quinn and Peterka and Benson for small skill. Savoie Ostlund and Kilich cooking

At this pick, the bust percentage is above 75%, with such low odds, you have to swing for the homerun.
