I understand that scouts salivate over a Lindstrom-type player, but for me he's not top 5. Without the Russian factor my top 10 would be:

Celebrini
Demidov
Silayev
Dickinson
Levshunov
Catton
Lindstrom
Parekh
Buium
Eiserman

I actually don't see them being that high on him. I could be wrong but he doesn't have the size they covet and then there isn't a stand out offensive trait. If they're gonna take a smaller forward they'll probably look for more high end offensive traits.
They’ve shown they highly value complete players so I do think they are high on him. Personally, I agree with you this team above all needs game breaking skill. But depending on where we draft he might be an option. Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom and maybe Catton are ahead of him for me.

Zayne Parekh on pace for 100 points in his draft year. Virtually unheard of for CHL defenseman. Parekh 17, graduated High School 2 years ago. He's son of a doctor, been taking UofT courses for two years. Very talented and bright young man.
Ummmm....I need to check this kid out!

The intelligence and drive to do what he is doing in his academics are a strong indicator of his work ethic and dedication to get better.

I got Lindstrom 3rd. Big power scoring center. Center what did it for me

I actually haven't watched Eiserman at all this season. But rumors of his demise with those type of stats seem to be overblown.

I have to take a look at Parekh, he is absolutely tearing the league up in a way that I haven't seen a D doing it, like ever.

My bois are still Lindstrom and Demigod (given Celebration is off the board).

Think Levshunov is overrated, Dickinson as well. Nothing that we don't have.

With Hutson and Mailloux, I'm pretty sure we will want more of a two way guy. The teams below us are likely taking defensemen.

If they took Parekh and paired him with Guhle, would it unlock Guhle's potential on the top pairing especially on the PP? It could make Hutson/Reinbacher the second pairing or give them the option to move Hutson for forward help ala Drysdale/Gauthier.

Yeah there's no doubt that offensively,
It couldn't be going any better lol

HuGo must really sit back at times and go holy shit, we're almost legit overboard on D right now..

I don't know how you don't draft 11 forwards in June lol
I don't disagree but there are some seriously talented Dmen that could overwhelm the top 10 picks. Do you pick the best player (who could easily be a future#1 ) or do you draft for need?

If they select Zayne Parekh, they will certainly trade Mailloux or Barron.

Guhle - Parekh.
Hutson - Reinbacher.

Why not? If Habs draft at 8-11. Parekh will be a very good option, even if Habs need a forward. The talent and IQ of Parekh are just too high to don't considering him.

We draft 1 we get Celebrini
We draft 2 We get Lindstrom
We draft 5/6 we get Demidov
We draft 7/8 we get Catton

Should be alright.
I'd rather have one of the Ds than Catton. Do not want a soft, small forward with a top 10 pick.

Heck gimme Dickinson. I know he's a LD, still, he'll be a force.

Only small forward I'd want is Demidov, but they won't draft a Russian.

Edit: Dickinson is a right shot it seems. I want.

Trevor Connelly will be a solid pick around 8-11. He is very talented forward.

If not I'm on 100% Buium train, this kid have such potential to become a star D.

Parekh look smart and very talented aswell.

Habs will get a very solid prospect for sure.

I wouldn’t say they wouldn’t draft a Russian. Michkov wasn’t passed just because of where he was born. There were other things going on there.
