If it's a top 10 pick, Hughes won't trade it.Hughes is going to trade the pick and make all of this pointless isn't he.
Roy is gonna be more than good enough to be a 6th forward. Its newhooks thats not good enough to be a 5th.We need an upgrade on Newhook AND Josh Wawa. i want to see them on the third line with Beck eventually.
Off course if we get an elite forward in the draft, one of them, most probably Roy, can be effective/productive on the second line.
Me too, man. Him and Levshunov are basically the reason why Im not too stressed about the whole forward thing. For me, its now like 5 forwards+2 defenders that Id be insanely happy with. He would fit in so perfectly with our defense group too.Buium just has that "it" factor. I'm obsessed with the kid's swagger.
Why are you thinking hell trade the pick?Hughes is going to trade the pick and make all of this pointless isn't he.
We basically saying the same thing. Though, except for Celebrini, i'm not sure there is another forward that is a future clear upgrade over those 4 guys. I think getting another forward the quality of Caufiled or Suzuki would be really helpful.Roy is gonna be more than good enough to be a 6th forward. Its newhooks thats not good enough to be a 5th.
As I said earlier, an upgrade on these two changes nothing, we need to upgrade on Nick, Cole, Slaf or Dach to push on down. Otherwise we might as well push one of Guhle/DR down.

A top 10 pick?? I dont't think so. But if he indeed trade it, it will be for a solid player and no, it won't make all of this pointless.Hughes is going to trade the pick and make all of this pointless isn't he.

Yeah and that's why it won't happen. If he does it would have to be in a package for Elias Pettersson or someone young and of that caliber.
Look at talent on the board when they picked though? 4th rounders are shot in dark. But 5th overall totally different gamble. The Habs picked 2 russians last year. It's fair to assume it's not the reason they didn't pick Michkov.
We need one of the top forwards and one of the top dman. I wonder if we could just convince the Flames to just give us their 1st this year instead of risking giving up a better one down the line.Me too, man. He would be really interesting if we get a low 1st round pick or an early 2nd round pickMaxim Masse ?
Decent size, q player, but looking at stats he isn't on pace to really improve his points per game.
Worth a selection? If he falls to the avs pick ? Maybe he's ranked lower ?
I do think he would be a great fit on Dach wing but I need to say that I didn’t fallow the prospect this year as much as in the pastEiserman is getting blasted for doing nothing but shooting, sometimes to the detriment of the team.
They aren't gonna pick Eiserman unless they are picking outside of the top ten and it doesn't make sense.
Caufield is their one dimensional guy.. they want more faceted players than that.
Would he still want out after the way the Canucks are performing now? After all, Vancouver is a very liveable city.If he does it would have to be in a package for Elias Pettersson or someone young and of that caliber.
No Eiserman in the top-10 is crazy IMO, more likely he goes 2 than 11Top 10 mock off of Bob's mid-season

Yeah if teams think he can still be a center at the next level, he's the kind of unicorn C to get picked ahead of high end Ds.Lindstrom might end up going #2 when all is said and done, as crazy as it might sound.
Saliyev is like 6’7. He could be a Chara/Hedman guy. He could easily go number two.Yeah and the guy at 2 is projecting to be hedman, I still think pre lottery were at 5, only ones ahead of us are Anaheim, cbj, Chicago, San Jose. That should leave one of eiserman, lindstrom or demidov
I hope that HuGo can resist picking a defenseman at this point, even if the top two look impressive.Top 10 mock off of Bob's mid-season

CLB might go Demidov if they can. They have a russian connection that works well over there.
Every draft, there's a major drop off of talent. Sometimes it's after 7, sometimes, after 10. Where do you guys see a major drop off of talent in this draft?
Celebrini
Silayev
Levshunov
Eiserman
Lindstrom
Demidov
Dickinson
Helenius
Parekh
Catton
Buium
Iginla
MBN
All of these players could be in the Top 10 (MBN may be a bit of a long shot).
Is there anybody else you would put in this category? How do you see the talent drop off?
They might but I think they have a similar guy in Kent Johnson that they aren't really using. I'd expect CBJ to aim for Lindstrom if they can get him.
Habs picking at 1 are going Celebrini
Habs at 2 are going Lindstrom.
After that, it's less clear to me who they would prefer but I'd think Demidov/Catton/Helenius/Eiserman in that order.
