on paper I just dont know how we cannot end up in the bottom 6 which is fine.

you can argue philly Ana and SJ might have worse team then us. AZ, NASH, COL, MONT? I look at 4 forwards that could be close, Celbrini probably top but Ivan D,eisermen, Catton on look. good and on D Arytom I like the best, But dickson and the 6-7 Russian all could make a argument for the top d at this point.

I don't really care if we are very good or bad. I just want to see our young and exciting players get opportunities. We have plenty of picks and I'm sure Davidson will do his best to improve our prospect pool

We have plenty of picks but how many high end for sure top 6 and Top 4's right now? at this point Bedard and KK would be the only ones. we have more that could be but its a bit early to tell. Most teams that win have multiple Elite players. the last team that won that didn't was STL. would really like to add 1 more top 7 pick Which should be a for sure top 6 or top 4 player. we had 5 elites when we won IMO kane Teows hossa keith and hammer.

Two of those 5 were pick 54 and 108 and the third a FA signing so we don't necessarily need a top 5 pick this year or even a top 10 pick to land a top 6/4 player or two to add into the mix.
Though it would be nice!

Levshunov is a RS D..but this was a PpPgoal where it looks like he was playing his off side (Right Point )...in any case he has a bomb of a shot..

Levshunov currently rated#4overall intge Consolidated rankings shown by eliteprospects.com....Anton Silayev who is a LD ir rated #6 overall in the same Consolidated rankibgs...but it is still early ..In any case whike I like KK the 1 thing he lacks is that shot from the point.. Here you have 2 dmen rated for top six int the draft who can bomb it.

Sam Dickinson of the Lindon Knights ir #9 overall rated in the Consolidates rankings ...he is 6'3 195...and is off toa goid start with 2g 4a in 5GP this OHK season..

So plenty of very good and good sized dmen for Hawks to pick from if we finish with an early pick near the top of round 1.

As to tge forwards...Macklin Celebrini is tge #1 overall according to Consolidated rankings...and Cole Eiserman is #2 overall in these rankings..

Eisermann usvofc to a sensational goal scriubg start to the ISNTDP season with 9g 1a on 5GP = on pace for 108g and 12a ...now he is primarily a shooter/goal scorer but I think the balance between goals and assists shoukd get back to a more normal balance or at least a shorter gap between this very skewed projection as it standstill date..it still willbe heavily skewed to the goals side because that is what Eiserman does..but the gap between goals and sports shoukd tighten ...I do not think he will keep up a pace for 108 goals and justc12 assists.for 60GP ..probably more lije 70g 50a or 80g 40a if he gets to 120 pts.
But from a needs point of view if we get lucky in the lotto and get the #1...take Celebrini...but if we draft 2-6 target one of the prizes goid sized good talent dmen...especially the RS dmen Levshunov then Dickinson ...
Woukd be hard to pass on Eiserman if we draft at #2overall but as great as shooterxas he us,he does not check the size, elite skating or2way defending boxes I want in atop Rw..but he is an elite goal scorer..forcsure.

Well, they’ll have a top 5 lottery pick so there’s a good chance
Our team might be better than expected. Not playoff caliber, but closer to the 10th oa spot. It's still very early, but our team looks well coached

Off the top of my head:

Anaheim
San Jose
Washington
Philly
St. Louis
Arizona
Montreal

All of these teams might be worse + a few more that have a bad season

I agree, Levshunov is the guy to watch for the Hawks right now. It'd be a great fit from an organizational need standpoint. Not saying you pass on Mack or even Eisermann necessarily, but Levshunov would be an excellent addition. Also, sure Lake Superior State may not be producing NHL prospects and they are far from a top team, but that's still a team with an average of 21.87. It's very impressive for a 17 year old.

Any of those teams could be worse but it's pretty unlikely all of them will. This season is going to be a lot of fun but it's all high-event hockey, they will bleed chances on many nights and I personally don't think Mrazek and Soderblom are going to be as outstanding as they each were the past two nights for the whole season. And that's all fine because another top 5 pick is what's best for this team

The good news is that if you're right, Levshunov isn't the only enticing RD in this class. But man would that be a perfect pick if he keeps progressing like it seems he will

I would not get high on the koolaid and as you say it is still very early.

Hall is already hurt and I would suspect it won't be the first or last time this season. Likewise Foligno, Tyler Johnson, & Conner Murphy are in the age demographic and history of injury to be pencilled in for missing at least 20 games. Perry has been very durable, but he is 38 and injury or falling off a cliff abilitywise are both very possible. Mrazek is injury prone and wildly inconcistant....and for every game you got from him opening night, you can expect 2 or 3 clunkers. 19, 21, & 22 year old LHD in their first extend NHL games is way more likely to end in inconcistancy if not disappointment (and I like all 3 to be very good to at least good....but after a season or two of growing pains to get there). Replace Murphy with Zaitsev when Murphy is hurt and all I can say is I do not envy whichever kid gets paired with him and again that is historically 20-25 games or a 1/4th of the season.

I'm still going with a win total somewhere in the 20's for this team before all is said and done. While Pitts made numerous moves in the offseason, they missed the playoffs and the reasonable guess it that Bruins will be much worse than they were last season.

Our team is very well coached, the players bust their asses and play for each other.

Still the team is void of offensive talent to the point where we will finish in the bottom 5.

There seems to be a handful of really good young D to choose from with our 1st rounder if we don't end up in the top 2.

I have our projected 2nd line as Andreas Athanasiou-Tyler Johnson-Taylor Raddysh with Hall out. That's "post-trade deadline firesale" level bad of a 2nd line. Bedard (who is 18) has his most common linemate as a guy that has to this point in his career been most a 3.5 liner. We have 3 rookie defensemen and two others in our top 7 that are literal waiver fodder. One of our goalies is Mr. Tank.

Dunno how people think this team will be anything outside Top 5 Pick territory realistically.

Which is ironic considering if all goes well Johnson and Raddysh will be traded at the deadline this year.

BU got absolutely shelled by the NTDP tonight 8-2. Eiserman with 3 goals and 2 assists. The replay is on ESPN+, I haven't got a good look at him yet so gonna try to check that out soon.

Celebrini for his part had a primary assist for BU.

What did Greene look like?

One of the guys on the Habs board posted a vid since it's dealing with Lane Hutson. Hutson brothers and the battle of Celebrini vs Eiserman.

Eiserman was absolutely phenomenal. 5 points but the hat trick wasn't the great part about him cuz we all know he can shoot it. It was the 2 assists. He's not known for his passing/vision but he showed it in this game. His speed is very real too. If you didn't know who each guy was, you would think he was the potential #1 pick from this game.

"Shelled" on the scoreboard 8-2 by the USNDT u18s is pretty shameful...but a closer look revealed it was the USNTP u18s that got shelled in possession...the difference was terrible goaltending by BU goalies 8 goals on 26 shots on goal ...to 2 goals aganst on 49 shots for the terrific..

Performance by Kempf in the USNTDP net....BUT Eiserman is always an efficient goal scorer.and there is value in that even if his defensive lacking may be an issue when he gets to the...in any case goaltending can save defensive issues if good..but when a team dominates I pissesionand their goakiexcannot stop a beacjbal..you are inforctrouble..and that what realky killed BU and on the reverse side made the score so lopsided forcUSNTDP.

First half of the game was basically unwatchable due to tech issues but from what I saw, BU had constant defensive breakdowns that the NTDP's high end forwards took advantage of. Not so much a case of bad goaltending except for the 7th goal, which was a whiffed shot but still came on a speedy rush by Hagens

Kemp did play well but most of BU's shots were unthreatening perimeter looks on BU's many PPs. A handful of nice stops but not like he was keeping them in the game or anything.

Greene for his part looked pretty good, strong skater for his size as we know. He was killing penalties and turned Cole Hutson inside out for a shorthanded scoring chance and also played the bumper on the PP- he looked comfortable there and his size and hands make him a good fit for that spot.
