Anotger prospect who I had failed to get in my radar until I noticed him among the 40 selections to pkay in the CHL NHL Top Prospects game and investigated further is BIG 6'5 203 lb forward KEIRON WALTON ofvthecSudbury Wolves (OHK)who seems to ve gettibg better as season wears on...Listed as a C/LW not sure which position hev playing for his juniorcteam, but probably will play LW in the NHL.....Last10GP he 7g 7a ...scouting report says he defines power forward with a good mix ofcsjilks...soft hands..good vision and smarts...akso can scores greasey goals.. Knows show to use his big body to protect the puck..

I have nit heard him talked about asxa first rounder but he clearly is conubgbob strong now (anotger goal and assist last night) and so it iis hardc now for NHL teams' scouts to ignore that big size and scoring ability ..Now that he is selected for the Top Prosoects Game a lot of scouts eyes will certainly be on him to see he performs in that showcase for the top draft eligible prosoects from the 3 CHL leagues.

So I probably would add him as a target for us with theTB pick I round one...Or if he still remains still is on the board of round two, which I now doubt he is going to last to...be on him as a riser if he continues his recent stellar play through the 2nd half of the season.

Currently 33GP 29 pts = 14g 15a +6..butcas I said recently seenscto be accelerating his scoring pace..

Right now it’s a top three, and 12-16 pick that I’m hoping for tomorrow his summer…TB to miss the playoffs I hope

There are still a couple games to go for the night, but as of right now, Tankathon has Tampa picking at 10th overall (based on points percentage).

That pick might be moving over to 2025.

Do they get to decide? Like say its Top 10.. do they say ah we'll just give it up anyway?

Getting a top 10 pick in the lineup quicker is more beneficial to Tampa. No way they would give it up. They would take it this year.

Yep no doubt. But spooky times for Tampa Bay. You've got 4 players at or above a PpG but you're in the bottom 3rd of the standings. You'd imagine Vasilevsky will bounce back next year, because he's not been very good but still. Their D core is an issue and I don't think there's really any help on the way there.

On the left Sharks next games till the all star break. On the right is the Hawks schedule. Not alot of wins for either side lol. But at least the Sharks play Anaheim twice and us so you gotta figure there's a win or two in there. And of course the occasional "hockey is stupid" win against a contending team I can see for both sides too.

I don't think we'll catch San Jose. They can go on a 10 game losing streak whenever they want.

I don't think we'll catch the Ducks.

I think we end up 2nd last. Top 3 pick would be nice.

TB is currently in 15th draftbpisition(by points standibgs) but 10 teams below them are 1-3 points less than themat this point...Thuscit coukd be very dicey for the Hawks if TB dropsx5 spots and is 10th pre-lotto shoukdc5bof these 20 teams close to them in points catch them...

Best scenario for Hawks...TB falls to 11th worst team by season end...

Worst scenario for Hawks is If TB falls to 10th or worse whereby they will keep the pick. Prior to the lotto and delay their 1st going to the Hawks toll next draft after 2024.

Middle Result
..TB stays15th or moves up a few spots to 18th-to 19th...

I would imagine they would give it up this year unless its like Top 5. Having unprotected with that aging roster is a recipe for disaster.
In terms of leveraging a window, better to pick now and have a guy they can either drop in and contribute on an ELC within a couple years or trade. Sending the pick if it’s top 10 would be a concession to give it up and blow the thing up and utilize the unprotected pick for a tank.

by winning % they are 10th worst right now. seattle, STL and AZ are ahead of them. I just feel like when push comes to shove. the most likely scenario is tampa misses the playoffs but falls somewhere between. 12-16

Yup TB falling into the bottom ten moves the pick to an unprotected 2025 1st right?

I think the 2023 one was supposed to move to 2025, and the 2024 one to 2026. Since the 2023 pick conveyed to the Hawks, that's why Tampa was able to trade their 2025 pick to Nashville for Jeannot.

It definitely makes sense to kick the can down the road and hope that you can improve the roster. I agree. I think the risk of not improving and having it be unprotected is real though and it would have to be considered by them.

what’s the likelihood of either Celebribi or Eiserman actually playing in college next year?

Eiserman is a 1 trick pony=shooter goal scoreer..Tgerevis Valuev that BUT Hawks need a more well rounded player to drivexa line...not be a passenger without the puck and not bexa puck hog to only shoot first and not use his linemates.

I have rge draft considering Hawks needs vs.BOA left on the board regardless of position this way forca pick target list:

1.Macklin Celebrini (C) ...consensus#1by every rankibg service)..

2 .Cayden Lindstrom...Big 6'3 Center with great athleticism and skill...and projectionable upside to get even better with all these tools plus he is physical ..

Would make nice compliment to Bedard as the other top six Center ..
Some may prefer taking one ofvtgevoroze dmen ahead of him..but Big Centersxwith the abilities of Lindstrom hard to draftlater ifyou bypass them on your chance..so I put him ahead of draftibg a d-man despite 2 realkyvgood prizes you coukd get forvtge bkuekune.

3 Zayne Parekh(RD) ....tempting to put Sam Dickinson (LD) as the BDA (best dman available) ...but Hawks have greater need need for RD star .
Parekh has so far been just out of top ten Iin most rankings ...but I think Dobber has himat #3overall and Recutes com at #4 ...so #3on my target ranking is not out of tge question.

Parekh has been labeled as offenseman ....but that may also be a size bias since he only 6'0 181...so automatically that does not put him as high on some rankings as the bigger dmen targets like Dickinson 6'3;Levshunov 6'2 or Silayev at 6'8 or even Yakemchuk 6'3 (who might go 9-15 in a lot of asessments)..

But Parekh is tge most dynamic dmen..and maybe most dynamic player in this draft...superb skater.. elite on activations. Puck carrying is elite..on pace for 94 points including 28 goals pace (up from 21 as a D-1lsdt season)..Assistshave dramatically improved this season proving his passing ability too and his hockey sense. He is nota reckless too often leave tge d-zobe caught up ice type of dman..but ratger knows when to activate ..but when he goes itvis both thrilling to watch and very effective for driving the attack.. He can be the #1pp qb Hawks have been craving for...I justcthink hexwoukd make a tremendous impact for making the Hawks offense more dangerous and effective in attacking..Defensively he has vastly improved this season in processing and coverage decisions.. I do not think hexwillbexa defensive liability.. though he will need to defend with his stock and his brain as at his size he will lack the physicality of the big boy dmen tgat I mentioned above.
I think he is teachable ...Keith was never a big dnan and used his brain and his stock to be a defensive plus .but he never had Parekh's offensive abilities.
Parekh is 6'0 ...bigger by 2 inches over Quinn
Hughes ..

Think Quin Hughes or Cake Majar controlling games with their dynamism...Parekh can have the same effect for an offense ..

4.Sam Dickinson *LD(now you get a Big strong physical shutdown #1D projection with a great shot and improving offensive upside)...when Oliver Bonk left to play for Canada at the WJHC,Dickinson stepped up his offensive game for the London Knights playing more mitnutes and upping his scoring pace ...With Bonk back now on London's last 2 games; Dickinson has counted scoring goals and assists..It is easy to see why scouts are so high on him and his potential.. Hevisvon pace for 23 goals and 64vpoibts ...but it could go highervofvhis recent scoribg pace continues tgecremaibdercof the season.
He may indeed be a consensus top dman ranked above alk other dmen in thisxdraft ...butcas I said hevusxa KD and Oarekh is a RD.. Hawjs need a RD because so many of tgecHawjsxpupelibe dmen arexLD including Vkssic who is already tge bestcdefebsivecdman Hawjsxhave playing on the team currently.

I woukd botcrish eitgerxOarekh or Dickinson to thecNHK as 18 yrvokd dnen next sesson.. Ket them pmay anotgercyear of Juniircabd dominate even more next season there.
But big picture...Hawks must get rid of Murphy..who brings nothing offensively and us turning into a slow pylon now defebsiveky ...
Parekh could replace him at 2RD ($9.5 sadly is going be the1 RD many more seasons till his contract runs out ( BUT Oarekh coukd run Oo1 as RD on it when he getsxto the Show as I expect for the 25/26 season).

In a sense the issue is do you take Headman type (Dickinson( or Hughes/Makar type .Parekh)...

In this case Dickenson at LD woud be like adding a potential Headman.. Praekh at RD woujd be like adding Makar*also a RD) or a Quinn Hughes (if he played RDvibstead of KD(.

But I think kD would see the need for a top RD even if on his board he had Dickinson aheadvof Parekh for best overall dman.

5.IF Hawks drafted 5rh and all 4 I have above are off the board maybe KD continues the RD need with either Levshunov or Yakenchuk or tgey go for ,Eusernan or Catton at this point among tge forwards ..
