Catton seems like he could develop in to a player who can do a little bit of everything. I don't know if I take him in the top 3, per say, but definitely can't see him falling out of the top 10.

I still think that you gotta consider Eiserman if you don't end up picking 1st overall. He already has the goal scorers touch and you HOPEFULLY coach him up to develop his overall game. I hope to God that the Hawks strike gold in this draft and are able to draft an impact forward and an impact defenseman with their two 1sts.

Helenius seemed to have a very "meh" performance at the World Juniors tournament.
I think the pendulum has gone a bit too far on Eisermann on the site. He's got the makings of a guy who looks like he'll score 50 no problem.

With the quality of this years draft and Tampas trajectory right now, I'd rather just get the unprotected first in 2025.

Tampa is in trouble , beaten up with way too many games in the past 5 years and so many teams in the east on the rise . Pick should be around 13th overall .

Tampa is definitely in trouble. There are six teams in the east currently vying for two wild card spots. One of those teams is Tampa, who has a lower PPG percentage than the other teams.

And make matters worse for them, Sergachev is out for an undisclosed amount of time. He's "week-to-week", but it's been like that for a week or two already and he apparently still isn't skating.

Winning games is hard with THAT defense and a struggling Vasi. Kucherov can only do so much.

I look forward to that pick being a top 16 pick, whether that's this year or next.

It will be interesting as we head into the second half, it seems the NHL has four terrible teams at the bottom. Ottawa has some games in hand but I don't think they will matter much with the way they have played this season.

Recrutes prospect youtube video was out today. Two guys mentioned, Jack Prindham and Logan Sawyer. They play in the BCHL and AJHL. Sawyer has some filthy hands and has been on a heater in the AJHL + World junior A challenge

Dickinson from the Knights will be a damn good Dman IMO. Can skate well, defends, is a decent size, isn't a big hitter, but can take the body, can run a PP, and has a pretty good shot, not great. Not sure you take him over a couple Dmen on the list above, but someone is going to get a good one around the 8-15 spot.

Yeah I really like Dickinson, only problem is he isn't great with the puck on his stick. Good first pass but doesn't really carry the puck out himself. I'd take him over any dman in this draft besides Levshunov. Granted I've only seen a little bit from each of the top 15 or so guys.

I'm still a big Levshunov fan. Hawks need more RHD.

Also, given that Vancouver and LA's 2nd rounders are late in the round I'm not opposed to trading them for someone like Frost.

And yeah I'm fine with whatever happens with Tampa's pick.

He was carrying the puck fine last night. Did an end to end rush and deked out the Dman for a chance on net.

I’m starting to believe that for anything not 1OA, our first pick should be Levshunov.

Potential Combos 2-3 years from now…

Vlasic-Rinzel
Korchinski-Jones
EDM-Leshunov (Eventual 2D with Korchinski.)

Allen (Evenual 3RD partner for EDM when Jones is gone?)
Kaiser
Phillips

Levshunov has insane tools but he’s a massive work in progress defensively. I personally haven’t seen that much improvement there this year. He’s 18 and in the NCAA so I can understand but Buium, for example, is a better defender than Levshunov currently.

Levshinov is +22 in22HP...Buium is only +13 in 20GP ...I do not think Levshunov is a massive work in progress" drfensiveky..I think he has answered any questions stepping up to colkege hockey from the USHL..

I think Buium may have better hockey sense ...but I think Levshunov with 6'2 198 size has an obviius advantage in strength battles...
I like both ..but Hawks need is a RD not a LD as Buium is..

If Hawkspick later tgan2bd then we should go get a Rd..

The question is Levshunov or Zayne Parekh.?

To me,Central Scouting has Parekh ranked way too low at #10 NA skater...add in 2-3rurovsjaters to top ten (Hekenius,Silayev abd Demidov) that ranking when combined woukd push Parekh out of top 10 to 12-13...whichbis madness because there is a legit questionas to whetger Parekh...not Levshunov or Buium is tge best dman prosoect in this draft.

My opinion agrees more with Dobber who has homat #4 or With Recrutes com (Grant McCagg ) who has hom at #3 but easily says he could becas highcas#2overall..

Parekh projects to 35 goals and 68assists if he plays all 68 games for Saginaw this season..He can take iverxand win games with mukti-piint efforts created by himself..He usctge most dynamic dman takentvi this draft..He has tge best goalvscoring ability of any dman i this draft ...Sure pkayibgcagaibst Juniors not older cokkegevpkayers lije Levshunov or Buium(Hawks not taking Buium anyway...nor SanDickobson...both left and and great as they are...we need another ekite RD prospect and Po qb..because $9.5:sicks and whike Rinzel is progressing,I do not ybink hevisxa #1goto dman..nor is Kk on the left side tgat...not in the spectacular way Oarekh can impact games...it's like a majar or quin Hughes directing an offense..

Heegets saddled with an "offensenan" tag...and that was true last season..but he has greatkyvinprived thisxsesson defensivekyv.Ivam not worried.

I think Central Scouting has erred rankingvhom way too lowat#19N A sjater..He has jaw drooingvekite sjatibgcandcskilks plus tge best shot fron distance as he gets past checkers to open lanes to get it off.

Anyway...if Hawks draft a RD ,I do not thinkwe willbe sorry with either Levshunov or Parekh if eitger is our first selection...but I think if we do not get Celebrini by winning the lotto but still draft 2bdvorc3rd and Lindstrom is still on the biard we privablyvgo Big Center...ourvither great need ...because thec size+ talentvof Big Centers ranked so high like indstrom is too hard to get unless you draft very high in roundvone and so we would not pass up tgat chancecto grab such a centerpiece to run tgecotgerctop six line after the other top six line Bedard is driving the bus with.
Now back to if we draftcRD shoukd Celebrini and Lindstrom be off the biard before we pick.

They have Carter Yakemcuik rankedxat #6 overall 4 spots ahead ofPOarekh the N.A list..
Most otger rankibgborgs have Yakemchuk notbin theirctoo ten.

He isxanitger RD options for the Hawks.

I do not know how tge Hawks will have the clear top 3 RD ranked should they be forcedctovselect that position if both top centers Celebrino and Lindstrom taken before Hawks pick.

I woukd sum it up thisxway:

For RD PP qb:
Parekh or Yakenchuk over Levshunov...but Levshinov may be more akk eoubd use good.
(PP,pK,ES)

For lifting you out ofcyour seats . Parekh...hands down electric dynamism

But I can see tge attraction if Levshuniv and Yakenchuk too..

It isxa nice priblento have . BUTnovodyvknowsxwichbofctgesex3 prize RD will turn out to bectge most imosctful NHLer..

Maybec3 teans will great prizes and all of tgese guys will impact greatly forctgecteansxsekecting then.

Howver the decision is only KD's goidcoroblem IF tge 2xtio cebters off tge board beforexwecouck.

As much as I love alkl3 of tgese RD prospects,
I do not think KD would pass on taking Lindstrom if acakable .. and if course if Hawks win the lotto for #1,they are going to take the BPA consensus....Celebrini.will go #1overall.

Buium seems to be skyrocketing up draft boards.

After Celebrinibas everyone's consensus #1 BOA for the draft therexare differences of opinion how to rank orosoects contending from 2 through mid-first round...

There arex7 potential first pairing Dmen according to Craig Button..

Since Central sCouting separates N A skaters and International Skaters tgere is goibgvto be disagreement how to I tegratecthexeurosjater talent into 1 ranking list combined with N A. Talent (tgere probably is no goalies goibg in round one this year so we do not have to worry about that in roubdvone...

But Central Scouting ranks the 7 too dmen this way :
N.A dmen :
1.Levshunov
2.Dickinson
3.Buium
4.Yakemchuk
5.Parekh
And ranks International dmen;

1.Silayev
2..Jiricek

So the different rankingss for a combined list for these top 7 consensus group of dmen will vary among the different lists and each NHL team will have a different ranking depending on their needs for either a LD or RD from tge future pipeline..
Sone will value different attributes more...ie. size, shot, defending off puck abilities ,ability to impact Pp or PK,consistency, compete level etc...

So I doubtvtherevisxanyway to guarantee BDA(best dman available ) among at leastv6 of this group with Jiricek being the clear 7th ranked.unless he comes back from injury and plays lights out.

From tge Blackhawks pint of view the LD ,as good dmen prospects as they may be,they probabl care not being considered by KD if we use our first pick on a dman...as RD would be tge bigger need for our pipeline on D...
So that means ranking Levshunov,Yakemchuk and Parekh in order of preference.
Jiricek woukd be 4th ranked RD...so wevonly have to consider which of the other RD te Hawks might select if they select if their forward targets off the board already ...

So Central Scouting would have Levshunov,Yakemchuk, then Parekh in that order of RD rank
But Craig Button would have :
Levshunov ,Parekh then Yakemchuk

Dobber would have it Parekh ,Levshunov Yakemchuk in RD ranking..
So woukd Recrutes.com

Others would have only Levshunov in the top ten overall pick but Parekh and Yakemchuk going in the early to mid teens.

But I'm my poionion IF Hawks not takingva forward (Celebrini or Lindstrom) they will go RD and if it was me I would take Parekh;Yakemchul and Levshunov in that order.

What I think makes Parekh so special is that of all the dnen I the draft RD or LD he has the highest ability to score goals ..Yakemchuk is next then I think Dickinson among thec7top dmen...then maybe
Levshunov ...

The Hawks need a RD who both can direct a Pp but also take charge of both PP less congested ice and ES rush attack chances to put tge hammer down and score lots of goals as a dman to make a big screw difference for opponents.

Thus is not to say Parekh or Yakemchuk are just offensenen..tgey need to pkay good defense too.. Yakemchuk brings size physicality too .at RD.

AnywY I woukd be haooy to get any of Parekhj,Yakemchuk or Kevshunov if we are taking a RD..

But again IF we land Celebtini RD must wait...Ir if we feel we must grab our Big Center in Lindstrom
THE RD need will have to wait...we cannot get everything Big C with skatibg and talent and one of the top RD ...(unlkesxwe do get to use that TB first....IF we took a RD with ourcown first and IF Dean Letourneau lasts to that TB pick we use ,then we could kill 2 birds with 1 stone ..a star RD and a Big C with talentand sjill and 3 zone grit)...But Ketourbeau may take longer to be ready forctge NHL than Lindstrom would.

Hope we don't take Buium over Levshunov. RHD with NHL size, that can impact the game offensively, are rare. The fact that organizationally we need RHD too doesn't hurt.

I think I still like Silayev the most amongst the D in this draft class.

Handedness is a non-factor for me since I just want the best player.

I can see the cases for Levshunov, Buium, Dickinson, Yakemchuk (am I missing someone?) over him. Depends what you value and put more stock into.

Anyone know how long Silayev is signed in Russia?
