Yeah the new limit is twice in a five year window. So if they win it this year they can't win it again until.. 2028 I think?

IIRC it doesn't apply unless you move up in the draft order though.

Which is perfect because the Hawks SHOULD be a better team next season and beyond. Get Macklin and have another talent with Bedard along with certain prospects graduating and of course FA/trades.

Wouldn’t touch Elick in the first round. Love the skating but he’s not a great puck mover. Definitely would have interest in the second though

I definitely would not take Kiviharju at that pick.

I’d see if you can trade up and get either Helenius, Jiricek, or Lindstrom.

If not, Brandsegg-Nygård or Yakemchuk should be the pick there.

Question on Draft...

If Bolts finish... say 12th worse.... BUT--lotto balls turn that into ---say 9th pick....

does that Pick stay w/ Bolts ( Top 10 protected) OR Is it Hawk's pick based ONLY on the Finish order and NOT Lotto ball /pick order??

Anyone know??
