Question on Draft...

If Bolts finish... say 12th worse.... BUT--lotto balls turn that into ---say 9th pick....

does that Pick stay w/ Bolts ( Top 10 protected) OR Is it Hawk's pick based ONLY on the Finish order and NOT Lotto ball /pick order??

Anyone know??
If the Bolts finish 12th worse the only positions the lottery balls can move them to are picks 2, 3, 13, 14 or stay at 12.
The Bolts keep the pick if the pick is top 10 after the lottery and it then goes to the Blackhawks unprotected for the 2025 draft.

Lindstrom is easily one of the most interesting prospects in this draft. Obviously its incredibly hard to pass on a 6'5" ox with great skating, passing, and most of all for him, shooting. However, not 100% sold on his decision making. Sometimes has tunnel vision, but that could certainly be something he can iron out. Easily a top 10, potentially even top 5 guy for me

That is impossible to happen from where they currently are.

Bolts can only jump 10 spots and it’s impossible for them to sneak into the back half of the top 10 from the 12th spot they currently are at

That said it goes back to Tampa and we get a unprotected first

Watching Catton right now against Vancouver. Spokane isn't very good, but as soon as he gets on good stuff happens. Just hit the post and setup another chance.

Connor Roulette sucks.

Catton with a SH goal and then a great pass with the goalie pulled. 3 Point night for him, SH Goal and two primary assists. Spokane does nothing without him.

Lindstrom for a big guy… idk man I watch him and Basha does all the work.

any similarities between Dubois and Lindstrom? Big, fast, soft hands, knack for goal scoring. More average in terms of hockey sense and can get tunnel vision.

Looking at our top players and prospects, I don't think we can afford to take another sub 6 foot forward in the 1st round. We have very little draft capital in bigger forwards. Martin Misiak and Ryan Greene are the only two we have really drafted (top 2 rounds) and I wouldn't throw all my money on them becoming good top 9 forwards.

I've been watching a bit of Lindstrom and Basha. I have to say, both look very enticing. They play fast, smart, and skilled. Either of them would be great to have

Its not great. I also don't even mean like just extending into the second round. I think there is a decent top 5-10 and then everything else is pretty messy.
Even at the top, I like Celebrini a lot, but I maybe would have ranked him like 5th last year?

I was surprised by how much of a two-way player he is though. For some reason I assumed he was more of an all offense guy.

Regardless, I get the feeling I'll be perfectly fine if Kyle Davidson wants to move any of our non 1st round picks.

I agree with the sentiment. I want size. I love Bedard and Nazar, but we need to put some bigger bodies around them.

Some more D would be nice too.

It feels like there aren't many big forwards in this draft with the criteria Davidson's scouting staff looks for. A few off the top of my head in the first round that fit would be;

Lindstrom
Hemming
Chernyshov

and

maybe Iginla

If we don’t get 1 or 2, I expect us to use both firsts on dmen. Vlasic has been great and Rinzel a pleasant surprise so far this year, but the depth overall is pretty shitty.

How does everyone feel about #2? Eiserman? Demidov?

Seems like some in the scouting community aren’t as sold on Eiserman being #2 in this draft.

Maybe at Tampa pick. Although I haven’t seen anything but highlights, no full games. Hard to see taking a guy that’s an Oct birthday with no SHL experience.
Tampa pick for sure. I was not suggesting taking him with our own pick.

As for SHL experience, it's not his fault his team was demoted from the league.

Haven't seen Eiserman yet, but I'm not sold on taking Demidov that high

How bad is Eiserman outside of his goal scoring abilites? Good size, skates well, great hands and elite shot/production and on paper seems like a great running mate for Bedard. Ive never watched him play, is it hockey IQ? Low motor?

also if we pick Parekh high in the first because of his mobility i am going to lose faith forever in this regime
