Two guys that gave me a bad first impression were Chernyshov and Jiricek. More-so Chernyshov

Jiricek is a guy I have in the tier starting with Dickinson. He's got a nice frame, but I was unimpressed with his acceleration and strength. I know he plays in a mens league at a young age, but I expected to see more from him. He is a smooth skater that has a nice offensive touch, but I'm not certain his competitive drive is as good as some of the other players I have listed.
I like Chernyshov. He likely has a low ceiling, but I can picture him as bottom 6 role player. Not saying I'd burn high draft capital on him, but he could end up a useful player.

Jiricek is very raw. I don't disagree with your criticisms. It does feel like he's a year behind his peers in development. But long term projection, I think there's top 4 potential for him. It'll just require some patience. Not unlike Rinzel when he was drafted (although he's starting to accelerate beyond initial expectations).

If we came out with Celebrini and Artamonov, I’d be ecstatic
That would be amazing. I'd even settle for Basha and Lindstrom. It would be pretty cool to grab two players on the same line.

I agree. I was a huge fan of his older brother in the 2022 draft. Maybe I'll come around to him in a few months. His decision making in pressured situations was another thing I really didn't like in his game. Decision making is the attribute a prospect has to have in order for me to like them (Either Average or better).

I liked David Jiricek a lot too. 2nd overall on my board.

I don't think Adam is as good.

I'll be all teeth if the Hawks come out of this 2024 draft with Celebrini and a stud defenseman with the Tampa pick
Kind of insane that an almost best-case scenario happened for us last year picking 1st overall and again in the top 20 (1. Bedard + 19. Moore). It is crazy to think it has happened a few times not long ago with Buffalo in 2021 (1. Power + 14. Rosen), NYR in 2020 (1. Laf + 19. Schneider).

Would love to see us go Top 3 + Top 20. Hell of a way to build a prospect pool.

If we don’t get 1 or 2, I expect us to use both firsts on dmen. Vlasic has been great and Rinzel a pleasant surprise so far this year, but the depth overall is pretty shitty.

It will be BPA. Plus, have you looked at the Hawks' forward depth???

I think the top 10 of this draft is about the same as last year. the top 3 last year are better then the top 3 this year but after that I think it 2024 might be better 4-10.

It'd be nice if the Hawks are able to pick up a defenseman who can actually run a powerplay.

A great powerplay can help teams win many more games.

I think they have that already with Korchinski.

Also shouldn't overlook how productive Rinzel has been in his freshman season thus far.

I do agree we need more D prospects, but I'm less concerned about the powerplay.

Not draft eligible anymore but definitely someone to keep an eye once his contract expires after next season. He’s apparently 5’11” and 157 now. Hopefully he’ll keep adding more weight

My target list for our 2picksin round 1 are in this order

1.Macklim Celebrini C
2.Cayden Lindstrom C
3.Zayne Paerk RD
4.Artyom Levshunov RD
5. Carter Yakemchuk* RD
6.Nikita Artamanov* RW
7.Dean Letirneau * C

The goal is to draft 2 of these7 in round one...this is a very needs centric hotlist of targets that you strike ofvasctgey cone off the board...ideally we get 1C and 1RD but the last 3 as first target of ourc2nd pick in round1 are dependent on if we took a C or a RD with our 1st in round.1.

IF we draft 1st or 2nd : grab the big Center..

If we draft 3rd or 4th take the RD need..

Then if we took a C with ourx1st selection IF Yakemchuk is still on the boardvhe is the obvious choice forourx2ndvpick of roundc11

But iiF we took a RD first at #3 or#4 THEN take Letourneau as the Big C...this may be higher than his final rank ..But the only reason he would not be ranked in thecteensvisclevelnof completion at St.Andrews College(= a Prep H.S. level)...But hevs so big with so much talent you just cannot ignore the pro potential .
But if Yakemchuk off the board and we took Celebrini or Lindstrom with our first then they woukd not take anotgercC but Artamanov at RW instead if hecwas on the board...if not on the board, they then still coukd take Letourneau (because you cannotignorecthatxsize and talent combo he brings).
TUITION may be that all 3 of Yakemchuk,Artamanov and Letiurbeau are off tge board by our TB pick(currently at #+9)...but maybe KD packed #19 and our 1st i roubd 2 to get one of thosex3 targets for our 2nd of roubn 1.

Whoever we take with our 2nd pick in roubd onev is several years away.

Celebrini is one and done in the NCAA would join the Hawks lineup next season.

Lindstrom probaly 1 moree season in Juniors before joining the Show...
Parekh tge sMe.. 1 more season in Juniors before joining the Show.

Levshunov probaly 1 morec smeasin at Michigan State beforeturning pro.

Letourneau will bea freshman at Providence next sesson...1-2 seasons on NCAA..his body already pro size...
He us sort of an X factor in the draft...You do not know when to gamble on hom...High-school prep players do not get drafted top 15 normally...and usually only in 2nd half of roubd 1 ofcaxteam wants to gamble on a H S. Player..But the pro size Already there plus his talent just screams Take the gamble by 15-20 ...
6"6 209...ALREADY!!!

Anyway I hope we land 2 of these 7 targets from roubd 1..

There may be others KD has on his list..but I woukd make a deL to move up a few soits just to be sure we gotc1 of Yakemchuk,Artanankv or Letourneau with our 2nd selection ofcroubd1.

If Fantilli was coming out this year would he be #1 or behind Celebrini?

It would be nice if you gave our very young D men some time before making that assessment.

Korchinski -> very real possibility.
Rinzel -> don't know enough about him
Allan -> he's more of a defensive prospect, no?
Del Mastro -> see above

Could always use a big shot from the point. The team can't just rest on their laurels hoping for one of the prospects to develop in to a weapon on the powerplay.

I feel like it would be a pretty hot debate, but mostly because Fantilli looks like he was created in a lab to be an elite 1C. Celebrini has outperformed him in both USHL and NCAA to this point while being on the younger side of the draft (whereas Fantilli was one of the oldest players in last year's class). You can argue Fantilli is the safer projection I suppose as Macklin is a bit smaller and has some injury history. Both worthy of a #1 pick in many years
