If we came out with Celebrini and Artamonov, I’d be ecstatic
I like Chernyshov. He likely has a low ceiling, but I can picture him as bottom 6 role player. Not saying I'd burn high draft capital on him, but he could end up a useful player. Two guys that gave me a bad first impression were Chernyshov and Jiricek. More-so Chernyshov
Jiricek is a guy I have in the tier starting with Dickinson. He's got a nice frame, but I was unimpressed with his acceleration and strength. I know he plays in a mens league at a young age, but I expected to see more from him. He is a smooth skater that has a nice offensive touch, but I'm not certain his competitive drive is as good as some of the other players I have listed.
That would be amazing. I'd even settle for Basha and Lindstrom. It would be pretty cool to grab two players on the same line.If we came out with Celebrini and Artamonov, I’d be ecstatic
I agree. I was a huge fan of his older brother in the 2022 draft. Maybe I'll come around to him in a few months. His decision making in pressured situations was another thing I really didn't like in his game. Decision making is the attribute a prospect has to have in order for me to like them (Either Average or better).I like Chernyshov. Jiricek is very raw. I don't disagree with your criticisms. It does feel like he's a year behind his peers in development. But long term projection, I think there's top 4 potential for him. It'll just require some patience. Not unlike Rinzel when he was drafted (although he's starting to accelerate beyond initial expectations).
I liked David Jiricek a lot too. 2nd overall on my board.I agree. I was a huge fan of his older brother in the 2022 draft. Maybe I'll come around to him in a few months. Kind of insane that an almost best-case scenario happened for us last year picking 1st overall and again in the top 20 (1. Bedard + 19. Moore). It is crazy to think it has happened a few times not long ago with Buffalo in 2021 (1. Power + 14. Rosen), NYR in 2020 (1. Laf + 19. Schneider).I'll be all teeth if the Hawks come out of this 2024 draft with Celebrini and a stud defenseman with the Tampa pick
Watching this game tonight. Tuned in about 5 minutes before this.
Not sure honestly. He's about as old as you can get for a draft year and thats going to hurt him a bit.Yakemchuk will sneak into the top 10 I am guessing?
Celebrini
Levshunov
Eiserman
Lindstom
Silayev
Helenius
Demidov
Dickenson
Yakemchuk
Catton

Sure. Just tools that pop. He's got great hands and a great shot and is pretty physical. Average skater though.Nice highlight, but I also don't want my defensemen doing that on a regular basis
If we don’t get 1 or 2, I expect us to use both firsts on dmen. Vlasic has been great and Rinzel a pleasant surprise so far this year, but the depth overall is pretty shitty.
I feel like I've been seeing a lot of the 1st round projected guys come with the caveat of "average skater" or "average/subpar IQ"Sure. Just tools that pop. He's got great hands and a great shot and is pretty physical. Average skater though.

So kinda like Dougie Hamilton??Sure. Just tools that pop. He's got great hands and a great shot and is pretty physical. Average skater though.
I think they have that already with Korchinski. It'd be nice if the Hawks are able to pick up a defenseman who can actually run a powerplay.
A great powerplay can help teams win many more games.

It would be nice if you gave our very young D men some time before making that assessment.
I feel like it would be a pretty hot debate, but mostly because Fantilli looks like he was created in a lab to be an elite 1C. Celebrini has outperformed him in both USHL and NCAA to this point while being on the younger side of the draft (whereas Fantilli was one of the oldest players in last year's class). You can argue Fantilli is the safer projection I suppose as Macklin is a bit smaller and has some injury history. Both worthy of a #1 pick in many yearsIf Fantilli was coming out this year would he be #1 or behind Celebrini?
