If Fantilli was coming out this year would he be #1 or behind Celebrini?

Funny you ask this question. I literally was discussing this with a friend of mine and was gonna post it on this board as far as the Hawks winning the #1 pick would you trade it for Fantilli? I go back to what Donaghey said about Fantilli at the draft and how high they were on him (called him generational as well). To me he is actually a better fit for this team than Celebrini is (bigger, faster, stronger, plays with grit) but I'd argue Celebrini is probably more talented overall and of course is younger.

All of these guys outside Mack have flaws, but at this point, I'd be pretty content with any of Eiserman, Catton, Levshunov, Silayev, and Lindstrom.

Long ways to go but imagine rolling out prime Vlasic and Silayev for like 50+ minutes a night. Defensive nightmare for other teams.

Has the potential to be the hardest line to score against.

The amount of ice they'd cover would be crazy.
And if Del Mastro continues to trend in the right direction…

Would be the perfect situation to insulate a guy like Korchinski

I mean someone like Rinzel or Del Mastro is a only a few inches shorter. Im very skeptical of Silayev's decision making, he does some stupid things.

Vlasic's reach is goddamn amazing sure but he needs to process correctly when and how to position which is more important.

Silayev-- appears to have "Hossa" like powerful stride to erase those mistakes

Hard to pass on him--imo

Vasili Atanasov-- UFA-- found some hilites on this Undrafted Kid-- Appears to be a cross between Panarin/Datsyuk-- Sneaky/quick/shifty/IQ-- I will admit a very small small sample of Hilites

anyone know plans on this Kid? Staying in KHL or NHL aspirations?

Atanasov’s KHL deal expires after next season. We’ll see whether he wants to make the jump. He should definitely be on the Hawks radar if he’s available

Some really SICK hilites from this kid... If anyone follows him here... please send hilites of his progress

I disagree with the Fantilli over Celebrini debate, but it's close.

The Score released their mock draft with the Hawks getting Eiserman at #2 and Buium at #14. There is no chance the Hawks would select Buium because of his top end speed. If we didn't select Perreault over Moore, we sure as hell aren't picking Buium over someone like Trevor Connelly. Having said that, I think there are some other really good skaters in that 10-20 range that the Hawks could really use. I think Hemming, Brandsegg-Nygard, Tij Iginla, and maybe Catton if he falls. I really hope Davidson doesn't draft Trevor Connelly over some of the names I listed.
