The craziest part is that this was supposed to be an off-year for Ohtani, because of the limitations to his pitching.
He reminds me of the quote about Rickey Henderson: "If you split him in two, you'd have two Hall of Famers". I think it's going to be true of Ohtani too.

The only thing that taints being the first ever to 50-50 slightly is that it’s never been easier in the history of baseball to steal bases with the new pickoff rules and bigger bases. He’s already doubled his previous high in SB. But doing it and with the way he did it pretty much locked up the MVP.

Place was electric tonight and an enjoyable nailbiter. Last Mets game of 2024 that will be a cheap ticket. This can really be something special. Yeah 2022 never had this vibe. This team has a soul. Brandon Nimmo can be Daniel Murphy of 2015. LGM!

Watching the Yankees pregame now and Bernie is performing the national anthem, and it just reminded me how much I love Bernie.

They needed Savarino to match zeros with that kid. The same formula that worked Sunday night v.s the Phillies. No Lindor is starting to become a problem.

MLB screwed this up. That series should've been moved to another stadium. Both teams are getting screwed because of Manfred's incompetence. The Mets with the travel got screwed more than Atlanta. No off day for one or both teams and then hours long flights after a doubleheader. It's ridiculous.

Arizona is getting screwed too because whoever wins the first game will have zero incentive to field their best pitchers or hitters in game #2. Not that I’d put it past the Mets to find a way to lose even to the Braves second string but they did finally get a win against the Brewers second string today
