Take a run at Guentzal 9x7 years, Kane 6x3 years, Kulikov 2x2 years and Samsonov 4.5x 1 year and it leaves 10.5M to spend or take on bad deals

Guentzal-Bedard-Kane
Hall-Dickenson-Nazar
Reichel-Foligno-AA
Kurashev-Donato-Slaggert

Vlasic-Jones
KK-Murphy
Kulikov-Levshunov
Kaiser

Mrazek
Samsonov
Guentzel is 29 years old. He will be 30 when this season starts. 9x7? You're f***ing fired immediately if you sign him to that contract. Batshit crazy.

Guentzal is the type of player that can play at a high level for a long time. Age won't be an issue with him. He is a highly intelligent player who avoids contact. He could easily produce as much as Pavelski, Malkin, Zuccarrelo, Giroux, Marchand. He would be an ideal partner with Bedard and then add a little meat and potatoes to that line. Not many players can play along side of Sid that long. Hell it could lure Sid over in a year the same way Kane followed Cat. Having Sid as a 2C would be amazing

Guentzel is also getting eight figures on his next deal. That’s a lot for a guy who’s played with Crosby his entire career. You better have someone that good on your team to play him with.

Mrazek is on Hawks

His entire career has been as guy labeled to be mentally fragile

Did you support the extension he received?
Mrazek was thought to be fragile, in that he could be shaken by a bad goal or tough outing.
Samsonov has missed time (away from the team) to deal with MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES.

They are not the same.

Though we had a guy with “issues” not too long ago and with the teams proper planning it went well. … until we sent him to Vegas.

I’m elated that you’re not in Hawk management.
Guentzel? I’d pass but if committed I’m no t going beyond 4 years or 6 million.
Samsonov? 1.5 on a 1 year deal.
Kulikov is not needed and he will get more than that. With EDM and Kaiser going full time next year and Phillips progressing, Rinzel and Allen are close as well and Vlasic, Korchinski are already there.
Most of them appear to be likely top 4 quality. Im liking the future of the D just the way it is.
Trade Murphy at the TDL to gain something and move onward.

I don't see him getting that much, and also dont have any worries of him not producing with Bedard. Not saying I would sign him, but I think he'd be worth the contract for 5-6 years.

Three years maximum. Guys fall off in the NHL suddenly, all the time. I'm not going past 33 with him.

Do people not realize he's going to be 30 when that contract starts?

Yeah but free agency so GMs are gonna lose their minds. Most of these guys are getting long term deals at ridiculous numbers for them.

Sign Kane to a 2 year deal 8.8 million per or whatever and give him the C then 1 year deals

What a strange reversal that would be.

No need to bring in Myers especially at multi-year deal

We have too many young Dman to waste a roster spot on him

Was it EDM or Kaiser who has experience playing RD? Rather they occupy that 3rd RD spot over Myers on multi year deal
