Mrazek is on Hawks

His entire career has been as guy labeled to be mentally fragile

Did you support the extension he received?
Even more reason to say no to Sammy, one is enough...I made no statement in support of or otherwise re. Mrazek's contract extension.

Our starting goalie has the same exact concerns in his past and nobody cares.
Even more reason... one is enough...its not worth the risk let youth develop next year

From Scott Power's mailbag in today's The Athletic...

Up until a few weeks ago, I was confident Kane wouldn’t be returning to the Blackhawks next season.

But, now, I’m not so confident about what’s going to happen. I’ve heard enough in the past few weeks to believe that the Blackhawks are going to at least internally discuss whether to re-sign Kane. The answer may not change, but I do think it’s an agenda item as they lead up to free agency.

KD said they don't want this upcoming season to be another one where they bottom out. If that's the case it makes perfect sense to sign Kane and bolster our top 6.

It also fits the the Hawks mantra of not wanting to give out long term deals at this time. But they want to get Bedard help. Kane is the perfect situation if not having to give out a long term deal while still being an effective top 6er.

Give Kane a 3 year deal and let him pass all these awesome milestones in the Indian head.

He’s at 1284 career points right now, 1225 with the Hawks. 3 years, I think he’s reasonably good for an average of 70 points a year. So another 210 points.

He’s 38th in all time career points right now, he could flirt with passing Mikita for 17th all time if he stays healthy. Would be a lot of fun to see as a Hawks fan and Bedard would have a smart winger to play with.

As much as I'd love Kane coming back, I just don't see it happening. Kind of hard to bring a player back that you let leave specifically citing how the player is a franchise icon and you wanted young players to grow into leadership roles. That doesn't change simply bc Kane didn't play here last year. If Kane comes back, he's not going to be fading to the background in this group.

Him and Kane on a line together would be a nightmare in their own zone.

Quite possibly. Who do you have in mind?
Teravainen would be a good fit, out of the UFAs available, or they trade for someone with that kind of ability. I just dont see it as a net positive if Kane and Bedard play with each other consistently over a season. It would be very tough for them to outscore the opponents when they are in their end the entire game. We aren't talking about prime Kane here.

If you sign Kane you don't pair him with Bedard outside of the PP they both need the puck on their stick.

They're going to get outscored anyway this team still sucks.

I think mikheyev would be an easy fit. Offensive upside. Contract ends within two years and i could see vancouver giving him up for nothing.

Mikheyev doesn't have any offensive upside. He's a third line wing and he's 30. He has 4 points in 30 career playoff games. If Vancouver wants to pay CHI to take him, then sure.
