Wait, you think my little joke was used as a "scapegoat" for my "terrible ideas". How does that even make sense? I know I took a shot at you lil bro. Then you regurgitated it. Where was the deflect? You've barely addressed any points made in any of my posts. Your obsession with Necas is clouding your mind.
It was a deflection from you terrible ideas. Thats why I said deflection.

Your idea was maybe Tyler Seguin would waive his NMC so he could move from a top 5 team in the league and a city hes lived in for 11 years to a bottom 2 team for no reason. Thats a terrible idea.

But it's not, because Necas hasn't said he won't sign long term in Carolina and hasn't been only willing to negotiate with a few teams, like Debrincat.

Necas never played with Aho and Carolina is much better than any team Debrincat has played on. But I agree with you on everything else pretty much. No thanks to Necas for the costs it will take.
The whole premise of getting Necas is that Carolina doesnt sign him and he gets traded. Thats the conversation.

Correct, but thats a totally different situation than the player saying he doesn't want to sign long term, and only picking a couple teams he will sign with, like Debrincat.

He will only be available if they do not agree on a contract or he requests a trade. In that case he will want out.

Hes an RFA he will have 1 year arbitration eligible until UFA. He has leverage to tell teams who he will and wont negotiate long term contracts with.

He is in the same contractual position as Debrincat in 2022-2023.

Same contractual situation, but hasn't said he wont sign long term in Carolina, and hasn't said he will only sign with a couple specific teams. Pretty big difference.

Holy shit. How do you not understand this? Of course if he signs long term in Carolina hes not available for trade. The whole conversation is about getting him if hes available for trade.

Yes, he can be available for a trade, but is there any report of him only wanting to go to a couple teams? No. Has he said he refuses to sign long term in Carolina? No. Carolina can just decide they dont want to sign him to the deal he wants and trade him. How do YOU not understand THIS?

Its different than Debrincat right now. Debrincat told them ahead of time he wasn't signing there long term, and wanted to go to Detroit. Necas has said none of that.

The whole premise of this conversation is based on Martin Necas being available for trade. If he is going to sign with Carolina of course he not going to be traded.

Please reread bolded so that it sinks in.

If looking to be traded. Hes in the same position as Alex Debrincat contractually. In that position he is able to determine if he wants to negotiate long term with specific teams if he so chooses. Whether he does that or Carolina decides to just trade him as a one year rental for less of a return I dont know.
Your trying to complicate it but hes in the same position as Debrincat whether he does the same thing we dont know yet.

But he's not, because Carolina can decide they want to trade him regardless if he wants to sign or not. And he hasn't stated he only wants to go to 1 or 2 teams like Debrincat. You're assuming he will only want to go to 1 or 2 teams, I'm not.

I'm done arguing this with you.

Yes, just like Ottawa could have done with Debrincat :help:. They decided to trade him to Detriot because they were able to give the biggest package back because there was term. There was term because he was willing to go there.

Do you think Carolina will get a bigger return for a 1 year rental for Necas going to a place he picks and is willing to negotiate a long contract?

Im not assuming one or two teams....He can give a list of 10 and the situations the same. Some wont have the cap, some dont like the player, some are competition in the east and on and on.

On the CHGO podcast they said that Necas wants to go somewhere that he can play C and is a playoff team.

Jake Guentzel would be a wild fit for this team just because of the age and size. I am not going to complain because they are going to be so much more fun to watch and it would give Bedard someone to play.

I cant image he would take anything less then 7 years.

I do have to say if this team adds Guentzel and Kane it will be awesome to watch. Not sure its the best for the future.

Guentzel-Bedard
Nazar-Kane
