that shouldn't matter, as I assume the reason he's benching Farrell is for his play as that top line should have been better since Farrell Roy and Gignac played together at times last year. If this is about benching Farrell for his play, what message does it send to bench him over Roy? Size should have nothing to do with it or the fact that Roy is younger unless he's just going to rotate players in and out of the lineup and he's not benching Farrell because of his play.

You are not wrong and I would add that neither are going to be players that will help your team contend. Not sold on either player

It could have something to do with efforts during practices/off-ice training. Pascal said they were keeping track of that when talking about Mesar.

It's good news for Arseneau, it means there was probably no actual fracture of his finger and they were able to put the joint back in place. It looked pretty ugly initially.

Unfortunately, my grandparents either died before I was born or died when I was like 1. However, I've been around a lot of grandmothers who did indeed throw around malakas and poutanas around. And have met grandmothers of non-Greek friends who also had mouths like sailors.

Perrault sent to 3R which means he's cleared to return to play. This is surely a conditioning stint. Question will remain after if he will end up back with Laval or if he'll stay in 3R.

Last time a player on a NHL contract was assigned to Trois-Rivières was during the inaugural season in 2021-2022 (Hills and Khisamutdinov).

And in Khisamutdinov's case, they mutually agreed to terminate the contract. Hillis at least worked his way back to the AHL and even got an NHL game in as Habs were absolutely decimated with injuries.

I think last year, they would have eventually sent a guy or two on an ELC to 3R as Laval started the year with like 17 forwards. There were a group of young players who were alternating between playing and being a healthy scratch. But within a handful of games or so, the injury bug in Montreal and in Laval hit early and suddenly Laval was down to 12 forwards.

Also in Perreault's case, he's coming back from an injury. So it will remain to be seen if he's going down on a conditioning stint and then back with Laval. Or if he's going to be staying down there for a while.

I don't see much of an opening for Perreault any time soon with Laval, unless injuries/call ups start hitting the lineup pretty hard. I have him behind pretty much every other forward.
