Calculated at year start:If Barré-Boulet clears and goes down, I think the Rocket will have six veterans at 320 pro games or more, and can only dress 5 per game. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks, did not realize Arseneau at age 32 played so few games.Calculated at year start:
Over 320
Wotherspoon: 646 games
Dauphin: 492 games
ABB: 362 games
Jacobs: 344 games
___ 260-320
Gignac: 293 games
Lindstrom: 276 games
___ Under 260
Arseneau: 256 games
You can dress 5 over 320 + one 260-320 games so they are still fine.
ECHL games are not counted as pro games.

Totally agree, this roster is looking very impressive. With Lindstrom on D and ABB upfront, they should win on a more regular basis.
Davidson needs to stay with Beck and Mesar...that line clicked really well in the w games. With ABB down, I wonder how they will redistribute the offence. They rolled this the first two games:
Farrell - Gignac - Roy
Simoneau - Condotta - Dauphin
Davidson - Beck - Mesar
Arseneau/Kidney - Xhekaj - Tuch
I'm guessing:
Roy - Gignac - ABB
Farrell - Condotta - Dauphin
Simoneau - Beck - Mesar
Arseneau/Davidson - Xhekaj - Tuch
Kidney, Beaucage, Perreault (injured)
Yes he is back wearing #27Did we sign Dauphin again? Never seen in mentioned anywhere

While winning is always important, the AHL is a developmental league. I would much rather have a team that has among some of the top 3 or 4 prospects in the league and faces challenges winning than a veteran loaded team that beats up on largely younger, less experienced teams. The former gives your team hope for a better future while the latter does not.Totally agree, this roster is looking very impressive.

The strategy of surrounding your best prospects with solid AHL vets is key. You can have both prospects developing and winning. While winning is always important, the AHL is a developmental league. When was the last time a Montreal farm team had prospects of the caliber of Mailloux, Beck, Engstrom, Tuch, Trudeau, Florian, Roy, Mesar, and Davidson?
That’s real hope and promise. Not winning a meaningless game against Springfield or Rochester.
Dauphin was solid for us before. I didn't know he was back.Signed to an AHL deal on July 1st at the same time as many of the others. Laval signs seven players to one-way AHL deals

Id bet that RHP joins them sometime late November early December. Barring major injuries, they should be very, very good. With Lindstrom on D and ABB upfront, they should win on a more regular basis.

They are at 22 skaters, so I assume he's staying until Laine is back (assuming no injuries in the meantime).

Can guys signed to NHL contracts be assigned to the ECHL, or could only players signed to a AHL contract?
A guy like Kidney would probably benefit from playing more minutes in the ECHL as opposed to playing in the bottom six and getting scratched.
