He's always been the tough guy you play 25-50% of your games and also spend most of his first 5 pro years mostly in the ECHL/CHL.

Played vs the Bruins but not the Thunderbirds and mignt not play against Syracuse either (maybe the 2nd game if something happen Friday).

Davidson needs to stay with Beck and Mesar...that line clicked really well in the w games.

While winning is always important, the AHL is a developmental league. I would much rather have a team that has among some of the top 3 or 4 prospects in the league and faces challenges winning than a veteran loaded team that beats up on largely younger, less experienced teams. The former gives your team hope for a better future while the latter does not.

When was the last time a Montreal farm team had prospects of the caliber of Mailloux, Beck, Engstrom, Tuch, Trudeau, Florian, Roy, Mesar, and Davidson?

That’s real hope and promise. Not winning a meaningless game against Springfield or Rochester.

The strategy of surrounding your best prospects with solid AHL vets is key. You can have both prospects developing and winning.
In 2006-07 when Hamilton went on their run they handed the net to a raw WHL goalie named Price who played 22 play off games and won the AHL championship. That was huge for Price to experience that.
I would love to see our prospects go on a deep play off run.

With hindsight, he regretted leaving Montreal. When Montreal talked to him about coming back on an AHL deal, he accepted without even looking for potential NHL offers. Wants stability for his family.

They are at 22 skaters, so I assume he's staying until Laine is back (assuming no injuries in the meantime).

Doubtful.

Farrell is apparently going to be scratched next game so that tells you how little room they have up front. He's not even close to the worst forward there but I guess they want to have roleplayers on the fourth.

I think we're anticipating injuries at this point.

They can, but players not on ELC can refuse.
