Yeah, no thanks to that contractOk, so far there is no agreement.
Oh man! I was wondering why it would be so unreasonable to trade for Stamkos and then I learned that he is almost 35 y/o. Didn't realize that. Ooops!May want to go see an Optometrist for that issue.
speaking of optometristsCalder race is already over, Michkov has won. He's been in the news multiple times before Christmas.
Doesn't matter that Stankoven has been better, doesn't matter what happens from this point forward.
Doubt they’ll move him. Maybe Petan and Satan’s son though. Why would you move Lyubushkin? You need RHDs and he is doing his job. Dumba on their other can be moved as he is useless.
I would also be curious who they considered “big name, big ticket”. Also not a fan of moving stankoven. I don’t know who would actually be available that would be worth moving stankoven.
Yeah, they aren't moving their #2 PKer.Why would you move Lyubushkin? You need RHDs and he is doing his job. Dumba on their other can be moved as he is useless.

He is worse than dumba. I don't rate dumba but people are overly critical of him. Like advanced stats support this assessment. Lyubushkin always has trouble clearing the zone and he is a bigger giveaway machine than dumba. Idk why people focus on dumba. Why would you move Lyubushkin? You need RHDs and he is doing his job. I think Lundkvist is a legit top 4 dman and should be on the 2nd ppYeah, they aren't moving their #2 PKer.
But both Dumba and Lundkvist essentially play no role on either the PP or PK, making them guys you can lose.

Idk last night they were double shifting Miro on the PP, I haven't been able to watch every game in the past month. I think Harley is elite in transition and in his own zone. I've never been enamoured by his ability pp quarterbacking on the blueline.Miro and Harley have the PP1 and PP2 spots locked up for likely the next decade.
I don't believe Spott has ever run 2D on a PP before (outside of garbage time).

They've been double shifting Miro on the PP since the beginning of last season. They've decided to not give him any PK time and to instead play him the majority of every PP.Idk last night they were double shifting Miro on the PP, I haven't been able to watch every game in the past month. Miro's seen a massive decline in his PP #s this year (not a shocker, we've all seen the powerplay). He was above average relative to his peers last year, but I never understood why he was getting double shifted over HarleyThey've been double shifting Miro on the PP since the beginning of last season. I like Harley better on the PP. I think his point shot is better at getting on net, and he's more willing to skate with the puck on the PP. Miro is too passive.
I thought they were losing a few contracts after this season? I know Benn is one…assuming he will be resigned for smaller amount. I haven’t looked, but thought next year they were gonna have a good amount freed up.on think on defense trade targets on defense the stars should look at these rentals
Gavrikov
Petterson
Maata
I see articles saying they should go after guys with term but the stars are still cap f***ed from having to sign johnston this offseason. They should prob pay to dump in all honesty.
On forwards, stamkos/malkin and a lot of guys with term just don't fit for next season. I think Kakko is really great add going forward, you can give him a bridge deal next season. If you want just a rental gourde, kerfoot, vetrano, and granlund(prob too expensive) would be great adds for the right price.
idk.
edit: i just saw daily faceoff thing if they really want to do that they need to pay to move Lyubushkin and dumba lol.

I think they both lack the lateral movement that really good pp specialists have. If you watch miro on the point he always moves toward his strongside as he receives pucks, it makes it easier for the high pk'er to close him down. When klingberg was in his prime he would receive and was much better about being able to go either direction creating more space for himself and opening shooting lanes. The movement there is so important and I think its one of the reasons it often looks like the stars power players are just standing around some times. A lot of it is their inability to drag pkers out of position. They've been double shifting Miro on the PP since the beginning of last season. The Stars have shown interest in Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Marcus Pettersson in the past and could circle back on him this season – however, he will be a hot commodity leading up to the trade deadline.
In addition to Pettersson, the Stars could pursue the likes of Montreal’s David Savard or Mike Matheson, Columbus’ Ivan Provorov, and Anaheim’s Cam Fowler, all of whom are believed to be available this season.
Up front, the Stars will have a variety of forwards to ponder, such as Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri of the New York Islanders, Gustav Nyquist of the Nashville Predators, and even Taylor Hall of the Chicago Blackhawks, among others.
