Rumors can be fun to read sometimes. But some are just strange. Like the ones today saying Dallas is looking at Nazem Kadri. That would be a massive mistake to go after him. Article clearly knows nothing about Dallas as they said Seguin is out so Dallas needs a center. Seguin is playing wing and Dallas has a ton of centers. Kadri’s contract would be a disaster.

I can't be more underwhelmed by all of those names

I want to make a hockey trade for Kesselring in Utah when they realize they're not making the playoffs

I don't get that Olivier Marek rumor at all.

So Nill, in season 9, is going to change his philosophy on team construction because.... uh..

We did get pushed around in that Vegas series, and had we made the finals against FLA, they also would have pushed us around. Not that one guy is going to change things, but I'm guessing if those rumors are true, that would be why Nill is wanting someone like that.

I also agree we need more size at forward (so long as the player brings offense too).

We didn't only get pushed around v Vegas, we stopped scoring vs Edmonton as they won the battle in the neutral zone and didn't allow Dallas to get near the slot for high danger chances. Edmonton carried a bigger defense (despite their average skill) and it stopped Dallas.

Our match winning players are Wyatt, stakoven, hintz, jrob, duchene...none of them play heavy to breakdown physical matchups.

I'm not saying this is my list, but I think players like Brady Tkachuk, Josh Anderson (that likeness) would be an important fit to physically last the extra rounds we are falling short at.

When is the last time we carried an enforcer? Genuinely asking
If my memory serves me correctly, Dallas hasn't had a regular enforcer since Barch. Lane MacDermid (Kurtis's brother) played a dozen games with Dallas a decade ago, and while Eric Godard signed with the Stars, he only played in Texas.

Well Seattle will probably be selling. Any chance we can turn Lundkvist into Borgen? That would add size and physicality.

I entirely agree that at some point your good at hockey team needs to be good at hockey meta team. I think the biggest problem is that our top end guys aren't Jack Eichel, Mark Stone, McJesus or Leon the Professional over there.

Winning through depth is great in the regular season but when you start running into the meat wall, they're going to lose. They keep doing it. The Blues, the Knights, Edmonton.

What they need is a Tuch, McLeod, Crouse, Wilson, Nelson guy.

Borgen for Lundkvist hurts the team too much without taking on a top 4 OFD.

Personally, I'd love them to go pick up Tuch.

Tuch is good but will be expensive. Hopefully we can pick up a guy like Jordan Greenway as a backup option
