True so waiving Reimer makes the most sense.Nope. Last game made him waiver eligible. And with a Gibson trade, I would assume that we would have to take a goalie back anyway.
Well, we've got the no-brainer management to make it happen then. That seems like a no-brainer pick up.
Nashville clearing room for FowlerI doubt he makes it to us.
When do we find out where Fabbro is going?

Sigh, I would love to pick this dude up if it meant we could waive lacombeWe'll find out at 11am today (PST). SJ, Montreal, and Chicago have priority over the Ducks.
I think it is just to get another veteran RHD who can reduce the playing time of guys like Zellweger and LaCombe. Provide more stability if nothing else.I don’t get why you guys want him so bad, he’s a pending UFA and this team already has enough bodies on D

Yeah there's a bit of a catch 22 there. I think the appeal is potentially being able to buy low on a decent RHD, but how do you even navigate that if he does play well? Seems a bit risky to take a guy off waivers and then end up giving him an extension of much value. Could end up right back on the wire next year.
I'm all for taking chances on young(ish) players with upside when they hit waivers, but for our purposes I think they have to be under RFA control and probably in the u25 range. Fabbro is 26, probably is what he is by now
Yup, might have bigger things cooking.Means we passed.
I think we trade for Jiricek at some point.
Seems even more likely after the Fabbro claim.
Have to think it’s like the drysdale trade
