Trading Zegras would be the biggest mistake this franchise have ever made.
Looking at our current state, I'd say there are a lot of competition for the "biggest mistake made". But i'd certainly be a mistake cherry on the top of the mistake cake

I think there's more there than you get with your average little tweener. He might be our fastest forward, brings some urgency/jam/heart and scored 21 goals in his first full NHL season after destroying the AHL.

Again, not claiming him to be any sort of savior but we play too slow and struggle to score too much for me to just turn my nose up.

Not saying much when he’s going against a 19-20 yr old lol

But we could use the speed/scoring. Just not a fan of how small he is. Does he play gritty at all?

It seems like Chicago is open to trading defensemen. I have always thought Connor Murphy would be good on the Ducks. RHD, 31, 6-4, 2 years remaining at 4.4, and the Ducks would be one of the few teams who wouldn't need retention which should be cheaper to trade for. Chicago fans seem like value is around a 2nd. I would do a 2nd or a 3rd + b prospect. This then opens up a defenseman to trade. Maybe LaCombe+ or Fowler for a forward.

Much as I agree with some of your possible trade destinations and candidates...we could probably bring in McJesus, Drai, and Hyman for a 7th and STILL would look like dog shit, because Cronin is the worst coach in the league. Believe me, I hate sounding like a broken record, but we are in the sixth consecutive season with the worst coach in the league. RC, Eakins x3 and now Cronin x2.

Strange deal here. Sprong does not seem be able to stick anywhere. I also mentioned recently that Bjorkstrand was on my radar, and he was a recent healthy scratch. Maybe he's more available now?

This is a cap clear or player is a problem mode. There were rumors about him here that I’m nor repeating.
