Trouba's wife is going to be pissed when he's forced to go to Columbus. Last I read she had a medical residency in New York.

Hopefully, everything is OK.

Maybe, he just really hates this f***ing team?
On a related note, where the f*** is @henchman21 ?

He's been missing for more than 3 weeks.
I was gonna say at some point as well, have been missing him.

Hoping all is well

I appreciate the concern. Life has just gotten in the way and shitposting here has naturally taken a backseat. I'll be back more regularly at some point, but it might be a while (or it might be 2 days).

My summed up thoughts on the last few weeks:
-This team just isn't very good, lack of depth is showing pretty heavily (and the effort guys are naturally having some issues as the intensity isn't keeping up with the grind). What depth is there isn't performing (Mitts is the shining example). This team is looking more like a Wild Card team by the day and maybe they win a round, but not a contender (or close) without significant changes.
-George sucks, but completely expected Avs are sticking by him. His athletic ceiling is too high compared to the other (current) options. I do expect Gibson to be an Av this year though.
-Annunen went to the place that is best tuned to get the most out of him. Korn is a wizard and if there is a legit NHLer in Annunen, Korn will find a way.
-The Avs need to tweak their system. The league has caught up and the Avs don't have the horses to run it to perfection as is needed. Saying skate faster and try harder just doesn't work at this level.
-Rants is getting more than MacK.
-It probably won't stay this way, but Minnesota is the best team in the league right now. With New Jersey closely behind.
-If Utah gets their special teams sorted, they are a very dangerous team.

Good to have you back, for all that we disagree at times. This board is better with you.

Hope all will be well in your life

The league drama is a nice distraction from watching this miserable Avs team.

Head hunting Jacob should've gotten a no move.

The Rangers getting Tkachuk would be quite hard with the assets they have I would imagine... Plus he doesn't even address their biggest need which is C.

Can we interest one of you teams interested in washed Trouba in a slightly less washed Manson, who has less control over his destination?
Manson when healthy (which isn't often these days) is way better than current Trouba.

Only if Brady doesn’t want to stay. Lafreniere+ would likely go the other way.
If the Sens have to trade Tkachuk, hoo boy, did they ever get bent over by THAT family. They hired Green merely because he's tight with Walt (I think they were teammates in St. Louis).

So, Trouba wouldn’t waive for Columbus. Might be convinced for Anaheim and that California sun.
