He valued his potential, and what matters to this team is now. They were fleeced, but they owed us for ROR/Z so it's fine lol.
Why do you value Byram the way you do? He's just not that great a dman. At least not right now.
You guys forget how good Byram was in the cup run while Girard was injured and wasn’t there after the Blues series. I think given top pair responsibility playing with Cale would have brought up the best in Bo, but he was always behind Toews and Cale

No, didn't forget just got tired of waiting for it to materialize again. His ego needed the change of scenery. He had plenty of time to show more of that. Unfortunately we can't or couldn't also pay him while he's figuring it out either.

Which Buffalo also seems unwilling to do. Or he wouldn't be quietly on the market.

He has 9 points in 14 games and plus 6 so far for the Sabres. I’d take Bo over Girard any day. Bo just needs to be on top pair and he’ll be fine. That’s what he wants and that’s what he actually is, a top pair d-man

Yeah but that’s my point. He was never given a chance to be a top pair guy in Colorado because Toews and Makar were always ahead of him. If you look at his season so far this year, he’s been better than Toews and Girard

Not from the games I've seen or what others have said in the games they've seen.

I’m just going by stats, I haven’t really watched any Sabres games this year. Maybe just a period of one game.

He's all over the place, just like he was here, some good, a lot of bad from what I seen. It matches with what others have said too.

He's not taken a meaningful step in the right direction here or after the trade.

Yeah, I loved Bo, but he would not be the answer next to Cale right now. As for Girard, he's simply playing better than Toews right now. I'm quite shocked that Bednar has made the change as often as he has.

As an aside...this is one of my favorite memories of the 22 Cup Year...

I'm not a Bo hater by any means but Mitts for Bo was larceny.

Yeah, there is still a chance Bo becomes worth Casey, but it isn't today.

It was the right choice, and plenty of us knew it wasn't the right fit for Buffalo. We got lucky straight up.

I actually thought AZ was a better fit, but obviously there was more risk with Hayton.

I have a Mitts signed team USA hoodie from the WJSS (where I also formed my opinion about Makar not being EK). So I'm happy.

I've never regretted getting Mitts signature over Brady's even though they were sitting next to each other I swear lol.

I wear that to Detroit games *when they're not playing Colorado because it's the only non Colorado hockey related attire I'll put on for a game.

Malinski is currently getting 15:46 TOI/GP. I don't see that happening being stapled to KMac. If we wanna bring back a big bruiser to play next to Malinski it should be CMc (Chris McAllister).

Malinski's growth has impressed me. If you want a puck mover that doesn't hurt you often on the bottom pair he's done exactly what's been asked of him.

There's a chance it never goes away. Stastny had to literally retire for this fanbase to stop requesting him to come back.

Some fans here wanted the Avs to sign Zadorov last summer.

To be honest, there was a couple of years where Staz made a lot of sense here as a 3C who could play up. It would have been better than Jost or Newhook starting there.

Look, as long as we get a Mc, Mac, or Mak I'm good

Wood is also clearly Irish without the name or the hair lol.

Hey you never know.... He could pull a Parise and come back from retirement to play for the Avs and one more chance at a Cup. :sarcasm:

He’s 26 years old so there’s unlikely to be much more improvement, but he’s also a weird one because he only turned pro at almost 24 years of age. So, there’s been little pro experience and perhaps some room to grow. Just a weird career tbh lol.
