AJ’s an idiot.
An idiot? Maybe. But he does have connections, especially with Eric Lacroix sitting right next to him all day.

I would absolutely go after Askarov, but the problem is that I am 100% sure Avs like what they see in Annunen and probably have no reason to trade for Yaroslav (which is a mistake).
Splitting with Annunen 1A/1B is my guessHow soon would you be looking to give Askarov the no.1 job? Thinking it might be nice to send Georgiev out for some cap savings, but next season is probably a bit early for Askarov to take over.
now , a tandem with Annunen has to be as good as 4gievHow soon would you be looking to give Askarov the no.1 job? Thinking it might be nice to send Georgiev out for some cap savings, but next season is probably a bit early for Askarov to take over.
Trading their 3C to allocate more money to the 3rd pairing seems weird.
If Avs ever did acquire Askarov, that would change a lot of the plans because personally speaking, I want Georgiev traded as of now. However, getting Askarov means Avs should keep Georgiev for this season and get rid of him as UFA next July 1st, while Askarov should be the prime backup since we probably trade Annunen to the Preds in that "potential deal."How soon would you be looking to give Askarov the no.1 job? I mean that would be smart tbf. Upgrading the RD, getting younger and saving 100k. Than adding a bigger physical LD at the deadline wouldn't horribly expensive.Maybe it's Colton for Marino with Manson moved out for a 3C or picks?
Even if they're a wash, Marino is younger and doesn't have the injury issues Manson has had the last 5/6 years.I would hesitate to call Marino an upgrade on Manson.
I wouldn't say I should get any credit for it.Original credit goes to henchy and me.

That's the thing - they're not a wash to me.Even if they're a wash, Marino is younger and doesn't have the injury issues Manson has had the last 5/6 years.
I’ll take his credit if it’s up for grabsI wouldn't say I should get any credit for it.
Heavily disagree here.I really dont ever see 3C as a big piece tbh. I like Colton, i like Compher. But I still want to go cheap at 3C. Like even a Tyler Johnson.
Bednard has always said he sees it as top 6 and bottom 6. In the ideal situation (i.e. now that we have Mitts as legit top 6C), the talent gap between our 3C and 4C shouldnt need to be super high.
Statistically they were pretty similar this year. Obviously Marino doesn't bring the physical edge Manson does, but Marino is a better transition player. That's the thing - they're not a wash to me.
