Watch it be for W. Karlsson and Riley Smiyh and a conditional 1st.

BUF gutted the last rebuild.

WK makes sense money wise but BUF may not want those 6yrs of him at 6 million.
BUF gonna have a hard time winning this trade imo.

Have seen Smith + Hague/Krebs + 1st + 2nd/prospect.
BUF then flips Smith to a contender at 50% and collects a 2nd or prospect.

VGK is going all in, it's fitting for them and their aggressive approach right from year one.

I think CGY will try and take a shot too, would help keep Gaudreau there.
Eichel, Tkachuk, Backlund, Lindholm and Mangiapane is a scary top 5/6.

Brow. County, Fl.
Eichel be gone. Damn, I guess Middleton is left...
Hopefully Buffalo can get this rebuild done right. They started this last one with so many good assets, and screwed the pooch.

Eichel is out 4 months, there's a somewhat decent chance Vegas misses the playoffs, but if they sneak in as the 3rd Pacific seed and he's healthy, look out.

Top 10 protected (looks like it'll be unprotected in 2023 if they draft top 10 this year but that's a very low pick in a relatively weak draft year) so yeah I don't like this much for Buffalo.

Oh I thought I had seen no protection on the pick and was thinking this may alright for BUF but now it's kind of a rush move.
Tuch is a great player but that 1st needs to hit for BUF to have any worth.

I think the low return is due to the risk that the surgery leaves him as a worse player at 10M a year. Not many teams can afford that although I don’t know how insurance works

Happy that Tkachuk won't be coming to our division.
From BUF's perspective...damn. That's a fair return for Eichel's value, but it's still just not that good of a package. Buffalo still doesn't have decent buildings blocks.

Dahlin is having his third awful season in a row.
Power isn't projected to be that great in the first place, and who knows, may not even sign.
Mittelstadt is in his draft+5 year and still doesn't look like a top 6 forward.
Cozens looks fine, but he doesn't look like a super high end talent.
Krebs was playing 4LW for Vegas despite the team being decimated by forward injuries and having no center depth in the first place.

Peterka and Quinn are tearing up the AHL, but other than those two...it doesn't look like a bright future despite what people say.

Power isn't projected to be that great? What? He's projected to be a franchise d. 6'6", will be 225+ lbs in a couple years, terrific skater, great offensive ability.

I don't remember him being hyped as a franchise D. Just a normal 1D with elite upside. He didn't get half the hype that Dahlin got.

I agree that he didnt get the hype Dahlin got, Dahlin was seen to be the next Hedman. Power is still projected to be a franchise d though, every bit as much as Ekblad was.
