And the Checkers get swept in their division finals :(
Anybody knows why Hutsko and Noel didn't play all seven games? Injured or healthy scratched?

I just found out that we aren't sharing Charlotte with Seattle next season.
What does that mean for our prospects? Anything worthwhile? It's been two straight years with shared rosters, and our cupboard is bare.

Will Schwindt be the 1C? Will Gildon and Ludvig be the 1D and 2D?

More playing time hopefully lol.

Did we ever find out what Ludvig and Deni's injuries were?

Dalpe will be the 1C. Its possible Ludvig makes a big jump next season, but right now Kiersted is higher on the depth chart. Gildon had a poor season and really needs a big rebound year just to stay in the lineup.

Apparently Sourdif knocked top 2022 draft prospect Matt Savoie out of the playoffs with a hit in game 2 between Edmonton and Winnipeg series a couple weeks ago. Sourdif's team Edmonton went on to win the series. Savoie was in a sling for several days and his injury was a hot topic at the recent Draft Combine.

Sourdif had a big game 3 in the WHL Final. He made a beautiful primary assist on Edmonton's 2nd goal, he deked around a defender at the blueline, then in one smooth motion one handed the pass ahead to his teammate who scored. Then he scored a deflection goal for the 4th goal off a nice shot by Luke Prokop. Edmonton won 5-4.

Hot take alert:

Sourdif is gonna be a better player than Denisenko.
Yay or nay?

Not really a hot take for me. Not only is he more well- rounded of a player, he's proved he can be a big time offensive player and come through in the clutch. He's a player who takes pride in the details, and he's willing to scrape and claw for the greasy goals or assists.

For some, have seen them pencil Denisenko into the top line or top 6, that guy has to earn it the way Tippett did.

But ya, Sourdif is a great Swiss army knife, has a great motor and will be a solid winger for us in a couple years.

Yeah, I don't believe that. Especially as Maurice is new to him and won't give him any benefit of the doubt that Bruno or Q would have.

fwiw, in that interview he gave he said "we're going to have to play some young kids next year" (paraphrasing a bit).
Yeah, he acknowledged our tight cap space and probably having to play some kids because of it. Hopefully somehow we can bring Mamin back. Luostar probably back. Not sure March will be able to fit cap-wise. Hepo & Deni probably have a good shot at a spot. Maybe that new Finnish kid works out.

Yeah but that doesn't mean they'll start next to Barkov.
But it means they’ll PLAY as opposed to NOT, which has been insinuated by more than one or two here.

Y’all have no idea what Mo is gonna do, that’s the actual truth, and same for me. Just shootin the shit here.
