For a defensive defenseman, Haché finished the first round with a goal and 2 assists. His Kingston Frontenacs defeated the Oshawa Generals in 6 games.



Guzda is playing really good this playoff, but he might be playing hurt. He played the first three games of the series, before not appearing in Barrie's double-overtime loss in game 4 to the Steelheads. He was back in the net for game 5; posting a .950 SV% so far this series. Only series in the OHL Eastern Conference that is not yet finished. Mississauga is in Barrie tomorrow night for game 6.



The Edmonton Oil Kings swept the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-0 In their matchup. Sourdif finished the series with 3 assists.



Nause finished the final five games of the regular season scoring two goals and adding three assists.

His Québec Remparts finished the regular season first overall, and open their series against the Chicoutimi Saguenéens on Thursday.

Just to finish off the OHL first round, Barrie lost in game 6 to Mississauga, 6-4. Guzda allowed five goals in the contest. He finished the series with a .909 SV%. Like I mentioned before, I think he was playing hurt. Hopefully we get to see him in Charlotte next season.

The Bridgeport Islanders beat the Providence Bruins 2 games to 0 in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs.


Both of the games were 2-1 in overtime. Bridgeport plays Springfield in the next round, with Games 1 and 2 being in Bridgeport this Tuesday and Thursday coming up.

The Quebec Remparts claimed the Jean-Rougeau Trophy as regular season champions and earned the lowest goals against to boot. Evan Nause played a major role in both of those accomplishments. The 2021 Florida Panthers draftee ended the campaign on a ten-game point streak, including multiple points on six occasions in April and May. From April 1-9th, the second-year blueliner posted four consecutive two-point outings.

I've seen Uens play four times this season.
He reminds me of a version of Ek, a tad smaller, but with better skating. The better skating usually covers up for mistakes. His shot is just wicked hard. Runs the pp from the top Point. Likes to rush the puck, but not too much. Not afraid to get physical and block shots.

Think he has a skillset to be a top 4 dman?

I do, but I am biased because he's my favourite Prospect in the system. I think he could be fitting into any one of the top six defense spot. He has basically only played college, so it's kind of hard to tell at the moment.

Schwindt he's a good defensive Center, much like Barkov. He has been playing good as Charlotte's number 2 Center this year. I could definitely see him in the NHL as a third-line Centre one day. I think that's his floor.

Priskie is a decent offensive defenseman. Sometimes I feel like he gets more love on these boards simply due to the fact that he's a Floridian. I could maybe see him in the NHL, . But I still think it's hard to tell as Kiersted is ahead of him on the depth chart I think. He is an offensive defenseman, with decent skating.

Canadian Hockey League - Florida Panthers Prospects- May 2nd - May 18th


Nause has played two games in the second round with no points. His Québec Remparts are tied at one with the Rimouski Océanic in their best three out of five series.
I forgot to quote my previous post. Nause's Québec Remparts swept the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the first round three straight. He picked up two assists in that series.


The Kingston Frontenac were eliminated by the North Bay Battalion in five games. Hachê had a decent playoffs for a defensive defenseman, putting up some points in the first round.

Look for him to return to Kingston next year. Hopefully he can take a little step forward in the offensive department.



Edmonton Oil Kings swept through their second round opponent in the Red Deer Rebels. Sourdif put up two goals and three assists in the four-game sweep.

Edmonton will start a third round Series against the top seeded team in the Eastern conference, the Winnipeg Ice, on Friday.
