They are next to each other
Weird, why is just sitting there unused?
They are next to each other
Buffalo made a mistake again. They take one step forward but then take two steps backwards. They could have traded someone else but nnnoooo, they traded their top point scorer and probably their best forward to Avs.In all seriousness, I feel like they'll have the defense, they'll probably have at least decent goaltending if they stay healthy, but the scoring won't be there. I look at their projected lineup and I don't really see one true sniper or pure goal scorer in the mix. There are some really good two-way guys, and to be sure their centers and a couple defensemen can put it in the net, but I've noticed in a couple of their preseason games that they're deluging the opposition with shots, and barely anything is going in. Maybe it's just a preseason thing but that's a concern for me if I'm a Swords fan.
Part of the downside of losing both Skinner and Olofsson in the same offseason is that they haven't necessarily replaced the scoring from those two, unless Peterka and Quinn are set for breakout seasons.

They are still unsure what to do with either the building or the land, so status quo it is.Weird, why is just sitting there unused?

The current mayor sucks so that doesn't help.
Best part of the series so far
Just fixed that quote from the tweetSeeing Connor cry after the Oilers lost G7 in the finals is heart-warming to watch
Well, he's scared of ketchup and scoring points in Cup Final game 7'sDa f*** did Connor do? Nothing wrong with crying after being just shy of accomplishing a lifelong dream
Curiously, MSG is the complete opposite of the new corporate naming greed. The building we now know as Madison Square Garden is the third (4th if one counts the original which was damaged by water leaks) building to be named as such. The current building isn't anywhere near Madison Square, yet the name remains.Oh, whoops. You're right obviously but there are quite a few NHL arenas whose names are lost on me as a non-North American. Bell Centre, Amalie Arena, United Center and Ball Arena are all pretty meaningless to me. Gila River Arena was another. Obviously MSG. Even more recognisable but still generic sounding sponsors like Enterprise or Delta or Rogers sound vaguely passable. f*** playing at "crypto.com arena" or something though, you'd die of shame.
In an ideal world when Enos builds his metropolis in downtown Denver the 40k capacity Nathan MacKinnon Memorial Thunderdome takes pride of place in the middle of it.
What a guy lol
More goonery? So tonight there's a game between the Sens and the Habs. This is their last preseason game and stuff happened during the last game....Anyway yesterday Martin St-Louis in a presser said that he asked his GM to call the Sens' GM and ask him what he was intending to do tonight (usually teams dress their full NHL lineup for the last preseason game).
I don't know what the answer was but today Montreal recalled a bunch of AHLers and the NHLers won't play. Weird.
