Dvorsky definitely lacks jump to his game, that being said, he is 6'1 200 pounds, cant see him falling all that much, especially with the talent he possesses. Keep in mind the best player he was supposed to play with was Molnar, a projected 4th round pick who isnt attending the competition.

Overall not impressed so far, needs to be much better.
Dvorsky's top end speed is pretty good but it's his acceleration that lets him down. If his first few steps were more explosive, he'd be a top 5 pick no question. When he has the puck inside, he's dangerous. When he's on the perimeter, he can pick out a pass. But he doesn't have the acceleration or the elusiveness to bring the puck from the perimeter to the inside by himself when he has someone covering him. When he's given space, he gladly goes to the inside.

I think Dvorsky showed his talent down the stretch in that one. Bit of a tough spot for him as this is clearly weaker Slovakia group than years past, and their schedule has been rough playing Sweden, Czech and Canada. Really not fair to compare his point production against an all star US team who’ve been playing the likes of Latvia, Norway and soon Switzerland lol

Personnally, I never play the where players will go game. I really don't care. It's all about projection of how they'll do in the NHL for me. Having said that, I'm not ready to say where I will have both guys. Geez...I'm not even ready for 2023...lol

lol, same same on highlighted.

I agree here, but the upside is that Dvorsky can benefit greatly from a skating coach. He’s clearly an athletic kid, his stride and edges need some work. If he gets that coaching he can be a monster in a couple of years.

Heidt at 17 would be great, depending who is there. A real team player, lots of qualities.

Heidt with the clutch block.

Yeah, he plays hard and is one of Canada's higher IQ players. He's really, really talented at knowing where the puck will go next.

I think Cristall's game will translate well to the nhl with some support with skating mechanics. I think he has the strongest neutral zone game for Canada.

I'm really, really happy Morin is not in this tournament. He would be Canada's best dman and catch some eyes with his puck movement/IQ. I want him in the 2nd round.

For context, Dvorsky gained 2 inches and 20 pounds this year

I think the skating can improve quite a bit from now. Most kids arrive at 16 and they are no longer growing, skating is one thing that is a bit difficult to work on while growing and your coordination is so so.

Excited for US to play a bit better of a team in Finland. See what their top players do against some better competition.

I think you're most likely getting a player with Dvorsky, there doesn't seem to be much risk with him and he can already do many things that teams want from a center. I don't even see his skating as being that bad honestly. It's not great, but not terrible either.

Dvorsky has been 6'1 for like 2years now.

His skating is hit and miss. When he’s using his natural athleticism he moves well. But his stride does need some work. There are times where he’s skating hunched over and it looks like he’s skating in sand. Give him a skating coach and in a couple of years he’ll be a monster.

He seems to have some trouble with what to do with the puck in the offensive end. I believe experience and coaching will develop this part of his game, but there is some concern their if it's a top 5 pick. I wouldn't be upset if ended up 7th and drafted him.

Canada was lucky Dej took that offensive zone boarding penalty. Slovakia was all over them at that point. I thought Dvorsky played well especially in the 3rd. He certainly put Quinton Burns in some pain with that body check. I hope Burns will be ok.

I’ll admit I missed the first two periods, and that seems to be when Dvorsky wasn’t playing as well judging by comments, but I was impressed with that 3rd period and he looked like a no doubt top 10 pick.

It’s a shame Dvorsky doesn’t have a first rounder type of player as a running mate on that top line. All the other top guys except Sale have at least 1 potential first rounder playing on their line. Masnica is a hustler but he was an average Slovak junior league player this year. Cedzo is probably a 7th rounder if they. Shame Honzek is a 2004, a shame, would’ve been nice
