He seems to have some trouble with what to do with the puck in the offensive end. I believe experience and coaching will develop this part of his game, but there is some concern there if it's a top 5 pick. I wouldn't be upset if ended up 7th and drafted him.
I think part of it is that he’s playing good teams and Slovakia is lacking the talent to space teams out. Opponents seem to be all over him, while the US players seems to have open space for days.

Not remotely the same. Boldy has off the charts skill level, is extremely comfortable on his forehand and his backhand.

Barlow is get puck, shoot puck, skate north, hit whoever has the puck and try to get back into a shooting posture.
That’s what i wanted to hear lol

It’s a shame Dvorsky doesn’t have a first rounder type of player as a running mate on that top line. All the other top guys except Sale have at least 1 potential first rounder playing on their line. Masnica is a hustler but he was an average Slovak junior league player this year. Cedzo is probably a 7th rounder if they. Shame Honzek is a 2004, a shame, would’ve been nice
Yeah, but on the positive side think how much more promising Slovakia will be a a best on best tournament in 5 years.

Haven't been this excited for a Slovakian team since Bondra, Demitra(RIP), Palffy, or a little bit later with Hossa, Gaborik, Chara.

Woke up late and forgot about this for a bit, so I only caught the last half of the 3rd, but Slovakia has no quit and they're starting to get the talent to help with that mentality.

If Allen slips out of the first I’d take him in the 2nd easily. Definitely a disappointing year but he still looks like a future top 4 talent wise.

I don't think he was having a bad game until that point. But his goal was very nice to see, it was no gimme. He beat his check and the goalie.
Ya I saw the clip. Showed nice patience and hands moving laterally before ripping it home. That’s an NHL type goal.

Yeah, he plays hard and is one of Canada's higher IQ players. He's really, really talented at knowing where the puck will go next.

I think Cristall's game will translate well to the nhl with some support with skating mechanics. I think he has the strongest neutral zone game for Canada.

I'm really, really happy Morin is not in this tournament. He would be Canada's best dman and catch some eyes with his puck movement/IQ. I want him in the 2nd round.
He does play hard. Hes a spark plug with great skating and a real agitator side.

I have him 9th, just ahead of Smith, the only real weakness he has is his shot, hes not powerful but he can score and he's a playmaker first. Hed look great on a big boy line with Slaf and Dach. He would fit in like a glove with the energy he provides and the playmaking he has.

As for Cristall, theres just no way this amount of skill doesn't amount to something in the NHL. Hes turned up to 11 everywhere but speed.

I think you're most likely getting a player with Dvorsky, there doesn't seem to be much risk with him and he can already do many things that teams want from a center. I don't even see his skating as being that bad honestly. It's not great, but not terrible either.
Agree 100%. He is a big strong kid with great skills, skating isnt great, but not bad at all either, I dont really see it as a problem going foward. That shot too, you cant teach it, kid can really snipe.

Cristall is one of those guys who could fall to 17 and be a massive steal.
There will be much better options at 17, Cristall is on the soft side, not a very good skater and tends to turn the puck over under pressure. You have kids like Stenberg, Brindley, Wahlberg, Edstrom that should be there at 17, I would draft any of them over Cristall quite easily.

Pekarcik again. Nice puck protection by Dvorsky, another hallmark of his game, too bad he didn't have high end creativity or hands to come off of that.

He's not meant to be creative, he's the stable guy you can rely on every game, that quietly gets you wins (How much is a Krejci worth?) - look when the production is. Again not drafting him at 5-6, but at 7th I'm still not sure what I do.

I think there are a bunch of players who are under-evaluated on that team. Lots of rising draft rankings after this tournament.

Dvorsky Honzek on the same line would have been sick to watch indeed.

Krejcis hands and playmaking game are part of what make him so valuable. I wish I saw that potential in Dvorsky.

I was not watching a top 4 d man. He made so many poor choices with the puck, even when he had time. It was a huge red flag. There's better options in the 2nd round, but maybe something has happened in his life and his head isn't in the game. it's so odd how much he fell off the map.

Cristall has really struggled to establish himself so far in this tournament. These are by far the worst games of his that I've watched. But whatever, if you've seen what he can do some derp shouldn't scare you off.

He hasn't been great in the offensive zone, but you can see it's all there, the way he moves on the ice. He gets it.

Dvorsky got better as the game went along and was strong in an intense 3rd. He still projects as a two-way, 2nd line / 1B center along the lines of ROR. We'll see where he lands come draft day. Don't think he's an option at #5. Won't likely be there at 17.

With the way the D was falling in this game, there might be room for Moldendyk after all.

As long as Canada beats Czech Republic, they should finish 2nd & meet Switzerland in QFs.
