Are we actually going to get shutout again? The failure to get a bat at the TDL is looking worse and worse every week. Need to wake up offensively yesterday.

The most annoying thing about this year is that Atkins had like 65% of the season to evaluate the roster, and everyone knew they needed more offense, and he STILL didn’t do anything about it all damn season.
I mean there were some people who were worried about the offense coming into the season. But I get it, maybe you start off and wait. But to not do anything about it all year? Fireable.

I've always said, and this for all sports, you can blame the players as much as you want but at one point when it's generalized and multiple players seem to underperform you got to look at coaching. As bad as Vlad has been for the past 2 months or so it doesn't explain 8 shutouts. I'm surprised the hitting coach survived this long personally.

They needed to at least fire the hitting coach months ago. Can’t believe they’ve gone the entire season with this craptacular approach at the plate with RISP.
Never seen a team collectively take more strikes down the middle and swing at garbage on the edges of the zone with RISP than this one. And then when they finally get a favourable count they still swing at garbage on the edges to bail out the pitcher.
Atkins needed to get another bat months ago as well.
The fact that he didn’t make any moves to address the offense and kept the same hitting coaches all year is the definition of insanity. Like, they haven’t been great for 110 games, and he thinks they’re suddenly gonna get better for the last 50?

When there are guys not willing to put in the effort it doesn’t matter you can’t win.
On one hand, you have Springer busting his gut running down a fly ball in the RT field corner, and on the other Flop won’t even stretch 10 inches to make play at first.
