‘Former Blue Jay Miguel Castro’ seems to turn up against us on a new team every year.

He's on his 6th team in like 8 years in the bigs (Jays, Rockiets, Orioles, Mets, Yankees, and now Diamondbacks.)

I think it's the fact that he spent like 4 seasons within the division that's making him so familiar. Because he appears to be a perfectly serviceable high strikeout reliever who isn't better because he lacks command and has long runs of being hittable.

The odds Arizona trades Carroll in 2022 were about the same as Toronto trading Vladdy in 2019. He was like the #2 prospect in baseball heading into this year and they were never moving him.
To be fair Moreno was the #1 prospect in baseball at the exact same time

Garcia has been better lately that's a very good thing. Bellpen has been doing well since Bass, Pop and Cimber are out of it. Lot of options and everyone is pitching well.

In the Jays starting lineup with everyone healthy, our 8th best hitter is Jansen with an ops of .741. Our 9th best hitter is Varsho with an ops of .640. If that guy can figure it out, Jays are really strong 1-9.

At this point i'm not even frustrated anymore by Varsho at bat appearance i pity him more than anything else :(
Yeah, he seems like a good guy, and he plays some really good defence, but we've seen enough of him this season to determine that he can't hit worth a lick this year. Maybe the expectations were too high at the beginning of the season. At least he's hitting lower in the lineup than earlier in the year. Schneider stopped trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

Forget the offense, he's your #8, #9 hitter at the moment. Anything he can produce going forward is a bonus.

His defence, along with Kiermaier has been a revelation. Just imagine Gurriel/Teoscar still patrolling the outfield. It still gives me nightmares.

Yeah the outfield defense this year has been outstanding. Even Springer seems to have been rejuvenated in RF, and has stayed healthy all year, and has been hitting pretty good after his .190 start in April.

Wow, that’s insane. And he has a 0.462 WHIP. His MLB career whip is 0.905. Politics aside the guy is friggin good lol.

I think he is still technically suspended or on leave or something like that. So Manfred will have to clear it for him to come back.

He had a sub 1.00 era in 2022 too so in 2024 teams will be like it's long enough he's too good. If the JPPL can get over his history so can we.

I expect he'll be back in MLB next year.
