THought they made the right call holding espinal and not taking the chance, but then I remembered how poor the situational hitting has been leaving stranding runners on this team.

I agree 100%. It’s totally the right move normally, but it’s the Jays. They don’t know how to put the ball in the air when they need to.

Kirk and Belt hit the ball hard at least, bichette at bat was just way to wild again for a late game walk off opportunity. Hes been the best hitter so far, but seen this last year where massive important late game at bats by him are just 3 wild swings.

He didn't strike out though. He battled hard and then hit a rocket that just went right at the 2B.
