Because I made a joke about it, your Blue Jays ZARP leaderboard for this season, minimum 100 PA:

1) Bichette (1.02)
2) Jansen (1.00)
3) Guerrero (0.95)
4) Chapman (0.89)
5) Merrifield (0.86)
6) Springer (0.81)
7) Varsho (0.73)
8) kiermaier (0.72)
9) Belt (0.62)
10) Kirk (0.54)
11) Biggio (0.43)

Well, I guess that clinches it. Belt is trash. :sarcasm:

I find it really strange that some people can't see past the Ks to see how fantastic he's actually been.
People don't realize strikeouts aren't as much of a black mark as they were in the past.

Mike Trout (when healthy) would routinely be near the top of the leaderboard in that regard but no one gave a shit because he was still an MVP caliber hitter regardless.

These days K basically means '"oh he just didn't hit it that AB" rather than "he's a bad hitter"

Aaron Judge finished 7th in Ks last year. Something tells me nobody cared given he still had an OPS of well over 100 and wRC+ of 200
