Ugly, ugly, ugly. While i still think the trade was fine, pinch hitting Varsho for a career minor leaguer is uh...a move.

Manoah needs to be sent down or taken out of the rotation. I don't care which. He doesn't have it rn. It doesn't matter if it's Kirk, Jansen or f***ing Pat Borders catching him.

Schneider isn't on thin ice yet but i can imagine he's feeling the heat regardless given Donnie Baseball is breathing down his neck more with each passing loss.

It ain't over but given how the team looks and what the schedule looks like in the next month? It's going to be over real soon at this rate.

When was the last time the Jays and Leafs both ended their season in May? Sept and Oct was commonplace for a long time, but May?

The thought of the Varsho trade being accepted if it was Kirk instead of Moreno keeps me up at night

I am concerned about Monoah, I thought that he'd be back to himself by now. He's been a star the last 2 years and was 3rd in voting for the Cy Young. I think that they need to send him down to Buffalo to work things out. Remember Halladay had problems at the beginning of his career, maybe for the betterment of Monoah's career and the Blue Jays he should work things out in the minors.

Well, Kirk is a catcher, so he will get regular time no matter what.

And Biggio can hit .000 and seems like Schneider would still dress him,
 
Monoah is ranked as the worst starting pitcher in baseball. Let’s keep rolling him out every 5th game for the guaranteed loss. Smart franchise

Vladdy's numbers (and others) were highly inflated by the 2021 covid season and playing major league games in Dunedin & Buffalo.

It was clear last year, and continues this year.

He's still an above average offensive player, but not the great & clutch hitter he was supposed to be.

Yeah he's still young and can improve, so i'm not writing him off yet. But no 10+ year $300M+ contracts please. That would be boat anchor for his team.

And to me he has come nowhere close to the hype around him when he came into the league.

Look at his batted ball profile and xStats, it's practically mirroring his 2021 season. Last year he had launch angle issues but he's corrected that and has had a more linedrive/flyball approach this year. Look at what he's contributed so far on the road versus at home. Do we really think he'll continue to put up a 73 wRC+ at home? Make no mistake, Vladdy is a very special hitter.

Not all the 7 bags were stolen with Manoah as pitcher. While the pitchers definitely did not help, Kirk himself was pretty bad defensively yesterday. He's slow as molasses at pretty much everything on the field. I went from being worried with his lack of fitness last year to being frustrated this year. He's slowly becoming one of my least prefered player on the team. Like man you're in the mlb living your dream get your *** together and make changes to your lifestyle. He could be a very good baseball player if he could lose 50lbs.
 
They'll win a few and lose more. There is still something wrong with the key core pieces of this team. I don't expect this team to ever do much of anything in it's current form. Look around the league at the real contenders. The Jays are so far off it's not even a debate.
