Not the most efficient start from Gausman but at least he is in a position to win.

Chappy regressing to his career avg of .244. You are who your career stats say you are. But I’m expecting a lot more defensively. Case in point, that potential DP play that he put on Merrifield’s shoe strings. Be better buddy.

Pearson looks to be rounding into a decent reliever, it would be nice if he could replace Swanson/Garcia as an 8th inning guy.

Well they squeak it out, Romano wasn't sharp at all, all over the place and got lucky with the ball hit right to the wall.

Anyway the offense still scuffling, 3 runs may be enough against AL Central, but not against the good teams.

A win is a win, but this team still lacks consistent offence from anyone not named Bo. Time to put out APB on Vladdy. Scuffling offensively but also appears really flustered leading to brain lapses in other parts of his game.

it's still early. One thing baseball has is a long season....a very long season.

I think if they fix it as the season progresses consistently should be good.

It's 1/3 thru the season. When May is ending, it's not "early" anymore.

This should be at a time where they've figured shit out. And they've been largely healthy, especially the starting pitching - where by this time of year at least one of your starters has something going on.

Disclaimer: I am in no way in shape or form a person who watches baseball avidly have been catching a game here or there guy. Watched the Dodgers when they won it all after all the expectations (lived in LA and got introed to baseball as a kid there), and it feels similar but I could be completely wrong

The only difference I guess would be this Division is a lot more competitive as it's just a pain in the ass to be here?

Gausman's been one of the best pitchers in the league. Bassitt and Berrios have been good.

When there are still 110 games left, it absolutely is early. Eleven days ago, the Jays were on pace for 97 wins. They've had a shitty week and a half... it happens, and it sucks, but it doesn't define who they are.

At the end of May last year, Minnesota led the AL Central by 6 games... they ended the year 14 games behind Cleveland. The Angels were in a playoff spot... they ended the year 16 games under .500. Seattle was 21-28, and we all know how it went for them. Milwaukee led the AL Central and ended up missing the playoffs. Atlanta was 23-27 and ended up winning 100+ games.

I think a lot of people struggle with the day-to-day, week-to-week up and downs of a baseball season.

Definitely. In 2015, the Jays had a .500 record until the trade deadline.

The one thing different compared to last year is the division is much better.

Manoah is the biggest concern. He’s been awful since game 1 and there isn’t anyone to replace him.
