Also the team pumped his tires like he was Scherzer or Verlander.

That silly 6 part video series was bad... The decision to make him the opening day starter was questionable as well. The signs were there in spring training that something wasn't right. and he crumbled on day one and it just snowballed.

You know guys, I just looked at Manoahs baseball reference page... After leaving college, he played in 6 games in Blue Jays Single A affiliate, and 3 games in AAA Buffalo, before being called up in 2021.

Was that a mistake in his development by the organization? Like this kid never learned to struggle and recover at the pro level, it's no surprise he completely fell apart after struggling early this year.

In 2020 it was the COVID year so he missed a lot of developmental time.

He came on in 2021 in spring training and also dominated the first few games in AAA.

If anything it was a mistake to not have him in the rotation at the start of 2021 when he dominated in spring training but they carried Tanner Roark in the rotation to start the season instead. Probably cost them the playoffs.

Varsho now has a higher OPS than Moreno and a 10-game hitting streak.

Kirk's numbers are better than Moreno's, too.

The fact gausman has a 4-3 record is a joke. Guys arguably the best pitcher in the league. His numbers across the board are jaw dropping.

Jays offense is just a sad joke.

Another absolute gem by Gausman. f***ing stud.

I know fWAR is not the greatest tool for measuring pitcher value but since joining the Jays last year he is far and away the best pitcher in baseball. He’s already cracking top 20 in Jays history despite pitching 1 & 2/5 seasons worth of games.
