As he is to call you one for yours. My point stands it's not a reason to boo him.

I love their show. I listen all the time
Is this about Bass again? He's free to say what he wants and so are fans. Anyone who supports freedom of speech should be happy about this.

I hugely prefer calculating WAR based on actual results and not theoretical ones, especially given the way that guys like Bassitt (and Dave Stieb, as another example) could consistently significantly out-perform their FIP. FIP is not even remotely a perfect indicator of performance.
I mean it isn't theoretical. It is based off of stuff that has happened. It just is heavily weighted to things that are 100% in control of the pitcher(Walks,K's HR's). It isn't like a projection it is based off of actual performance on the field, you are just going to see a separation in the two WAR's at times as in someone like Gausman last year who was incredibly unlucky. Manoah was kind of the opposite last season. I think both sides have their uses in the end. I think fWAR is inherently better at telling you how dominate a pitcher was over a long period of time, while it does have a blindspot for pitchers that know how to manage contact. I do think fWAR is better as a tool for future success then bWAR, like if you are dominating guys and racking up K's limiting walks and HR's that is inherently a good recipe for long term success on the mound.

I didn't expect Jose Abreu to be this bad.

When Houston acquired him i was thinking "oh good they somehow upgraded Gurriel on the cheap"

Turns out he's somehow worse than Gurriel was in 2022 while the latter went back to being a productive hitter in Miami.

Bassitt is f***ing amazing

Imagine having 2 cy young candidates and 2 others having great seasons and not be in a playoff spot

Springer with another terrible ab

Offense is so bad. Going to cost this team another season

If it wasn’t for the pitching this team might be 10-40

Gausman and Bassitt have been borderline lights out in the last month or so and both have re energized the BP in this series after that Manoah fiasco in game 1.
