I would play them both, maybe an infusion of youth might helpI can’t keep track of these aggressive microtransactions
Plek was 21 that season. The previous season was the comaparable season.D+2
Plekanec: 66 pts in 74 games
Beck: 27 pts in 41 games
Plekanec was a 70 pts in his prime, no shame in Beck not reaching that level.
If you are gonna use age then Beck is 21 right now as well. 4 months difference is hardly enough to be a big difference.Plek was 21 that season. The previous season was the comaparable season.
What ever they do Lane Hutson better be on the left side or I'm going to flip my lid.I would play them both, maybe an infusion of youth might help
Yup, 100%.I would play them both, maybe an infusion of youth might help
Who cares if he’s on a better ppg rate?!!Check your stats at same age. At 20, Plekanec had 46 points in 77 AHL games. Beck at 20, has 27 points in 41 games. Beck is on little better ppg rate.
Who cares if he’s on a better ppg rate?!!
Pleky outperformed his draft ranking and developed his game on a steeper curve than most. A snapshot isn’t going to tell the story.
I like Beck. One of my favourite prospects. I watched him live several times, as I did with Pleky as a prospect. … so this isn’t a knock on Beck …
But Plekanec was a premier shutdown / PK center during his career. When he played with top talent he approached 70 points. He had the bulk of defensive responsibilities and PK time. As good a #2 as you could ask for.
I like Beck, but not in the same conversation as Pleky at this point.
Plekanec one of the most underrated players we've had. Imagine if we had prime Plekanec right now, he'd be an awesome 2C for Demidov.
