People have so little tolerance for fans that complain now. It’s weird. A person vents a bit on an underachieving team and then you get people piling on so lustfully, just relishing in the likes. This generation of fandom absolutely sucks. So boring and predictable.
Have a like for hurt feelings.

Re read the post. That wasn't a vent, that's someone that's clearly miserable and hates the entire make up of the team top to bottom. You know what I'd do if something made me that miserable? I wouldn't do that thing.

Can't even enjoy the small victories. Don't know that poster, but I'd wager most of his posts are of the same ilk.

But they haven’t under achieved. Win today and they hit their expected win total square on the the nose.

I think people expected Manoah to come back to earth after his second half last year, but they didn’t expect him to Romero out of baseball. You could say they actually over-achieved, if anything.

You enjoy seeing entitled fans bitch and complain about only making the playoffs?

We made the playoffs! And he's ranting and raving about how it isn't good enough.

Yeah we lose our way into the playoffs, so Blue Jay-ish, I think most of us could have predicted that in the big game the team chokes and allows another team to do their job for them. We are fortunate that Seattle's opponent had something to play for, otherwise we don't make the playoffs. If Texas already had the West locked up before that series began, they are probably resting their regulars and there is most likely a different outcome in that series. The only way the Jays win the next round is if our opponent plays so shitty we by default win. Perhaps the least deserving team in the playoffs.

- Tips for hitting - if the ball is in the dirt, above your head or in the opposing batters box it's probably a ball, dont swing. Shatkins you can fire your 65 hitting coaches because they are not doing jack to help this team.
- Tips for base running - If your name is Vlad or Kirk, you are as slow as a fat earth worm, take one base at a time, if you think you can take 2 bases, you can't, dont, just dont be a hero on the base paths.
- Tips for pitching - if you are in a jam you'll have to call your manager out the mound, he has no f-ing clue how to manage a game, you will have to tell him when to change pitchers.

Pathetic "team".

Pro tip: I would try to limit my nonsensical takes to just one team.

Hey it’s cool. You guys can keep on being boring and predictable, piling on posters as quick as you can. Shit sucks but what can you do. Ciao.

There are multiple posters here who exclusively come into this thread to complain about the team and disappear whenever things are going well (or chime in to complain that thing aren't going well enough), and you think the people who push back against them are the problem with "this generation of fandom"?

I believe in this team. They can beat either Tampa or Minnesota in a wildcard series. Then Baltimore or Texas, both have their issues.
I believe this team can win a series but I don't think they can go on a run. Hitting will struggle in the post season and prevent the team going on a deep run.

All you need is to get hot for 13 games. You don't need a lot of hitting, just timely hitting. Jays have the best pitching staff in the AL going in, do they not? All they need is a few timely hits, and then the pitching will do its job.

Jays have struggled against good pitching all year and that's what they will be facing in the playoffs. It's optimistic to think they are suddenly going to start hitting good pitchers now.

If we go anywhere in the playoffs the pitching will have to carry the team because you can't expect this offense to do much given what they have displayed over 162 games.

My apologies, I didn't know you were Maple Leafs forum off topic Blue Jays talk famous. Something to be proud of, surely.
No brag and I'm not even the guy you commented to but coming into an ongoing thread related to the Jays when you never post here saying if someone else opposes your view that they should juts go away it ridiculous.

The problem is we have a season full of no timely hitting. We didn't get it last night in the 9th as a example for the win. Your right though we just need the hitting to click for a short while and we are good to go. The problem is we haven't seen an ability for them to do it all year and now we'll only be facing good/great pitching going forward. I hope they can but don't have the faith that they can

Posted several times before. Are you upset simply because I don't live on the thread daily?

How do the other playoff teams generally fare against good pitching?

Agreed, also I was at the game yesterday and Schneider is just flat out a bad manager. His deployment of the bullpen yesterday was a disgrace. Garcia could have played two innings, he looked good. I would have went Garcia 7th/8th. Romano 9th. I just felt we had control of the game up until Swanson but I have no idea why he felt necessary to use up just about every arm he could.
If they score a run, it would not have been a problem.

The bat is what going to eliminate or win it for them. You can’t just shut out the other teams forever

I don’t know but the Jays struggled against garbage pitchers also

So do the Blue Jays just… not hit well against anyone? How did they even manage to score runs this year?

Sure... every time there's a good pitcher on the mound we hear how the Jays can't hit good pitching, and every time there's some random rookie on the mound we hear how the Jays always get shut down by shitty pitching. Considering their offense is average (7th in wRC+, 15th in runs) those two things can't possibly both be true.
