LOL pot meet kettle.

Love the pitching staff, hate the approach at the plate, manager sucks - couldn't manage a game if his life depended on it, pitching coach is one of the best in ball.

Choking again in a big game, yes I cant enjoy that because that is what this team will do in the playoffs, would have thought that once a teams shows you who they are, pretty easy to figure out who they will be in the playoffs. A team that built for small ball but swings for the fences every at bat, you get that's dysfunctional?

Geeze Isaac wrong twice already, stop while you are behind.
What's the approach at the plate you hate so much?

No because you think your a special flower who thinks he can dictate the speech in here.
Not what you previously claimed. You said I needed to meet a threshold of posts to be able to comment. Wondering what the quota would be?

Yeah, exactly. I am probably the 2nd most critical poster on here next to Shaner. But, FFS, just enjoy the ride and be happy they got in.
Unfortunately, it's impossible for some.

I am happy, I just feel like they should have been contending for the division and not let Baltimore finish 12 games ahead. I won't be happy with just a "one and done" sort of thing. It is exciting, I just thought the Jays should have won the division (or got close), that's all.

If someone told you before the season that Manoah (the Jays #1 stud from the year prior) would essentially be lost for the entire year, would you have had the same expectations?

Well, no, that's what I am saying. I am just disappointed that it couldn't happen. It still shows the talent we have that even when things didn't go their way 100%, they still made it. They were able to stay ahead of another really good club in Seattle. Let's say we get to play Baltimore in the ALDS and win, then I wouldn't care that they did not win the division. A good run can erase a slightly frustrating regular season for sure.

The thing I find difficult about the idea that the Jays are a disappointment because they should have won the division is that you're putting the blame on the Jays for not meeting expectations when it's mostly an issue of Baltimore vastly exceeding theirs. I guess you could argue they should have played better against Baltimore, and that's a fair criticism, but even if they went 7-6 instead of 3-10, they would be up to 93 wins. That would get them all the way up to... third in the division, sitting in the 2nd WC spot. Sounds familiar!

The Jays had a good season. They'll finish 3-5 in the AL and 6-9 in baseball. They're a really good team, but they can't control the division they play in or how their opponents play outside of their own games.

They clearly walk way too much and strike out way too little. Don’t even get me started on them getting way too many singles and doubles. Not enough home runs! Who cares if Baltimore hit fewer? They’re clearly a more fundamentally sound team.

Everyone gets riled up about their risp issues when it’s seemed to normalize over the last couple months. Baltimore was an insanely “clutch” team this year. Like we’re talking one of the clutchest teams ever which is not indicative of their future performances.

Not to mention they’re 33rd in “clutch” on the pitching side (Jays are 26th). I don’t see how anyone can realistically think that this O’s team is a 100 win team moving forward with the way they’ve been playing. They can just as easily regress despite being a young team and fall back in line with the rest of the division.

More length here means losing 30-0 after 8 innings ;)

I was planning to watch the game and i knew the pitcher would not be one pitching in playoffs but i expected someone i bit better still. Guy has a career whip of almost 1.9 lol. Think i'll pass and go do something else.

Might wanna take the over on that one.

I was a little concerned I might miss the end of this game because I have WHL tickets for the afternoon, but barring something insane that shouldn't be an issue. not because the game will be completed (because we're 40 minutes into the game and it's only been 1.1 innings. At this rate we'll be here for 5 hours) but because the game is probably already over
