Someone mentioned yesterday how it shouldn't be difficult for the Jays to blow it from here on in, seemed a little over confident imo, especially with the last 15 games they have against division rivals, and looks like it won't be that easy against the Rangers lol.

Better win tomorrow

Against Scherzer and with the jays approach at the plate I don't like those odds. Unless Scherzer has another terrible outing like last week. All we can do is hope.

Eh. With your best baserunner on 2nd and a rookie in left I think you send the runner regardless. At a certain point you just tip your cap on a great play. If the throw isn't perfect KK scores easy.
Have to watch the play though that was a rocket hard hit ball and it was in his glove as kk was just about to round 3rd. Other times I would agree if it was not hit so hard.

For a young manager, Schneider seems to hate playing his young players.

It’s annoying because they’re the ones who have revitalized this roster. Probably responsible for a lot of the wins they’ve gotten in the last month.

They’ll make the playoffs but only because Seattle Houston and Texas all rotate playing each other over the next 2 weeks.

Could someone be kind enough to post the analysis for tonight’s plate ump performance when it’s posted to twitter? Thank you

Just an absolutely disgusting effort from everyone. Such an unlikeable team most of the time

23k tonight for the series of the year. Attendance wasn’t great over the weekend either. I suspect $$$, over lack of interest, is to blame.

There are about $16 million in increases to guys who are already under contract (mostly to Bo with a bit to Bassitt, Gausman, Garcia, and Berrios). Green likely gets an increase too, but it'll depend which option gets picked up.

Then almost everyone who isn't a free agent is arb eligible (Vlad, Romano, Jansen, Kirk, Swanson, Varsho, Mayza, Espinal, Cabrera, Richards, Biggio)... it's gonna be a lot.
Got it, thanks. So the arb increases will be significant but there should be some money left over to hopefully pick up at least 1 big bat or 2, preferably right handed. Maybe keep Hicks as well if there’s enough $.

A couple of boneheaded decisions today again, one being waving KK home and the other is leaving Cabrera in to face Jonah Heim knowing Heim’s splits against lefties. Oh well, we can cut shitty pitching some slack after carrying us through 3/4 of the season thus far. I really hope our coaching staff is wiped clean next season

As usual in the big moments they come out flat.

Don't the jays play the east .

They went 10-5 in the stretch against the “weaker” opponents . Including last night’s game, if they can manage 10-9 against the remaining schedule that‘s enough to get in.

If they do make it, it looks like they’d play TB. Which makes me ask, should playing on turf exclude a team from hosting one of these gimmicky playoff games? In the case of Texas, they shouldn’t be allowed to host any post season action at that thing they play in.

Missed most of the game but when I did get to tune in Texas hit the grand slam and I went to bed. Checked the stats this morning to see Vladdy had his customary 0-4 with 3 k’s when he’s needed most in an important game.

Used to think this guy was the next Miguel Cabrera or Albert Pujols, now I’m worried he’s more like Vernon Wells
