Rising prices for everything these days makes some entertainment costs rough

Probably more the timing than anything. Summer over, back to school, back to work, people just need to get back to the routine.
I can't imagine the cost changes much for people week to week.

I can't imagine the cost changes much for people week to week.

I think timing, priorities and cost all factor into folks entertainment budget.
A lot of fans travel from all over Canada and that impacts attendance in the summer months.

Folks it all comes down to pitching .. 4 runs should have been enough to win last night .. we do have excellent 3-5 type starters in fact probably best in both leagues .. but we lack 2 top of rotation starters who cut you up and spit you out .. 2 guys who can go up against Os Tampa Seattle Houston Texas and beat them on command .. i think team will likely sneak into playoffs .. if they get lucky and play Twins then we have a chance to advance to a playoff series but that will be it for them

Just putting my 2 cents in after last night game loss to Texas..

This team looked exactly like I thought they would, after the last 4 series playing bad teams, and not really dominating them.

They got dominated by a team that is basically even with them now, but led their division for 4 months and has a crapton of good offenive players.

That's honestly disgusting, it's so hard for a family to head to a game and eat/drink.
Guess you have to pick your favorite child and take them one at a time lol

You can bring food and non-alcoholic beverages into the stadium though.

But admission prices in general are getting a bit out of hand.

I went to the afternoon game a few weeks ago. Great seats, $26 each and as you say you can bring your own stuff in. Cheaper than the movies, not sure what people expect.

Movie admissions (plus food and drink) are outrageous as well. Not sure what answer you're expecting to hear as I think a lot of entertainment pricing here is grossly inflated. GA standing tickets are ~$15 usd here (cheapest ticket) whereas some teams in the States are offering monthly passes for $30-$50.

He's had a weird/disappointing season. But in his previous ten games he had a .391 OBP. He had only struck out 6 times in his previous 20 games. He has a 146 wRC+ in high leverage situations this year. I don't see who's actually a better option, and I don't think moving him down sends him any message that he isn't already aware of.

Relative to other sporting events here (Leafs/Raps) sure primarily due to sufficient supply, but there are several "bigger market"/more valuable franchises that have lower average game day costs.

I'm sure there are plenty of families of 4+ that would find the means to go to a game expensive.
