When you're down by 2 runs, you have to manage to get to extra innings, not for what's going to happen in extra innings. It's putting the cart before the horse.

I generally think Schneider has done a pretty good job with his decision making this year (bullpen usage has been awesome, in particular) and the overreaction to some minor moves is absolutely comical. But this one was a mistake.
