MLB Expanded the playoffs to create more playoff races and the AL is looking like it will only have some jockeying for positions and won’t have a September race this year.

Does the unwatched league do something similar or do they just pick a team out of hat to go to the WS.

This team needs a Juan Soto or Aaron Judge type #3 hitter in the offseason or a top 10-15 hitter who can carry the offensive production. If Vladdy turns it around next year, great. But we can’t bank on it. Need someone more reliable batting 3.

Tonight was a screw-up but to me there have been very few games like this this season (certainly nothing compared to the near-daily idiocy of Montoyo) and the bullpen usage in particular has been really well handled by Schneider and his staff.

He's still one of the youngest managers in MLB and sometimes he's prone to galaxy-braining something and over-managing/over-thinking things and tonight was one of those nights. He managed to win the game in the 11th over managing to tie the game in the 9th.

He has literally zero brain. In the midst of a pathetic season, with the team that he is supposed to be "leading" falling out of the playoff race, he is more preoccupied with dumping sunflower seeds on people's heads. Just a complete duntz.

You just KNOW that he thinks his season is a success because he won the HR Derby.
