Schneider sitting fastball on 0-2 because Gore hasn't been able to throw his breaking stuff for strikes.

Edit : Gore is throwing like 80% fastballs and they're all in the upper half of the zone. Everything breaking is missing. They have to get to this guy.

... and Jansen rung up on a horrible call. Ugh.

Approach has been good but f*** me they've missed a bunch of belt-high fastballs grooved down the middle. Gore hasn't had an out pitch that's working so he's just going back to fastballs pretty much every time.

I know this is your 1,000th Atkins post but if you want to see change, it should be players that should change. I’m at wits end with Vladdy and no idea how the team feels. Do you hope he banks it next year before his UFA or trade him when he’s at an all time low.

I’m more curious about roster construction, be it Atkins, Click or anyone else.

Not sure what the solution is but if they don’t find a way to fix Vladdy, this team is in serious trouble for the rest of their contention window.

It’s a giant tapestry of issues right now. This offseason will be critical. They need to get a better GM, probably a better manager, and add better hitters.
