Gurriel was pretty meh aside from how much fun he seemed to be. Especially once his power weirdly evaporated.

Losing Moreno sucks but he was probably not getting a shot on this team as long as Jansen and Kirk were both around.

Varsho hasn't had a great start offensively but he's a top, top shelf defender, likely slides into CF next season if Kiermaier moves on, and the power should come for him sooner or later.

It’s early enough to say that despite him being meh, Moreno and Gurriel have been meh-er for the DBacks.

The Jays gave up a whole Alot too? Damn I didn't know that.

I revise my stance on the trade: they got hosed.

Really the only thing they "paid" was Moreno. He will probably end up being a great player but the reality of the matter is the Jays were cornered. Kirk emerged as an all-star and Jansen while being a bit streaky is still valuable to the Jays. Other teams knew it too given trade talks around both guys went nowhere.

Gurriel was just a sentimental piece. Great clubhouse guy but his bat wasn't good enough anymore to justify his horrendous defense.
