One thing I noticed last inning with Bassitt, he was leaning over a few times, not sure if that's part of his routine or if he's lingering with an issue...

How is he still in the game...

outside of Manoah and Gausman the rotation is paper thin. Anyone who thinks this team can contend with the rotation and bullpen they have is kidding themselves. Rogers is cheap.
Well we are spending a great deal of money on Bassitt, Berrios and Kikuchi... not money well spent...

Not the debit you want from your new starter. What a brutal start. No point watching this and getting more frustrated

Only two teams are spending more on pitching than the Jays right now.

Kind of need them to play like it though.

Not at all. One guy can’t throw strikes and the other two give up hard contact.

Tiedemann can’t come along fast enough.

I shall rephrase. Rogers is too cheap to sign authentic all stars and would prefer to flush money down the toilet on 2nd tier pitching talent.

You mean like DeGrom? Look at his first start, people would be flipping their lids

I didn’t know Rogers can identify pitching talent. Is the CEO doing that?

Outside of Toronto media and fans who thinks they’re a WS contender?

Blue Jays radio listeners were thrown a curveball over the weekend when an alarm-type beeping sound interrupted a remote broadcast of Toronto’s road game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the unexpected audio — which could be clearly heard in the background for over 10 minutes during Saturday’s game — came from the Toronto studio of rights-holder Sportsnet or an external source.

Blue Jays radio broadcaster Ben Wagner, who calls the action off TV screens when the team is on the road, paused for 15 seconds when the beeping started before resuming his call.

The Cardinals’ broadcasters — who called the game from Busch Stadium on KMOX Radio — did not experience any audio issues. St. Louis won the game 4-1.

Sportsnet has its television crew on site at all Blue Jays games but elected to return to pandemic-style remote coverage of radio broadcasts for road games this season.

Bassitt isn't exactly a high velo guy to begin with so that drop in velocity is a tad concerning. He relies on groundballs and shitty contact in general.

Same thing that kicked off Ryu's steep decline and eventual surgery.

The pitch clock as well. Bassitt was notorious in New York for coming off the mound and shaking off his catcher.

People who can use their heads, for one.

No one is putting them ahead of the Astros and Dodgers of the world but they're absolutely in the mix and you're lying to yourself if you think they aren't.
