Michkov will either go 2-4 range or slip to like 9-10 spot.

No in-between IMO.

I think the same. I don't know if Washington passes on him but he's either going right at the top or he drops. All depends on how teams feel after the interviews.

If there's any chance he comes early he will go as high as 2. Unless he lies to everyone except us I doubt he makes it to 5 without some red flag that scares most teams off.

Name evaluations;

Smith: the kid wont be able to search himself on twitter, big plus for this market

Leonard: Kids will call him LEOnard, might mess or empower his juju

MM: Michkov rolls off the tongue kids will love him kid is already a superstar

Carlsson: not Erik

Reinbacher: I'd rather not think about it

Benson: The name slaps ngl

Dvorsky: another sky

That's it everyone else is a off the wall pick and therefore disqualified

Yuppers. It might just get cringeworthy esp. if there’s a big faller or if Sakic the Fleecer flips them for a better return than Newhook. It’s going to be like watching a slow motion crash.

The odds of getting a Newhook at 31 and 37 are not in their favour. I personaly have no issue with the deal myself.

After losing the lottery and being once again victims of the Pat Brisson 'f*** Québec' strategy, the Hockey Gods owe us one.

Here's how it's going to go down:

Bedard
Fantilli
Smith
Michkov
CARLSSON

EDIT:
Actually you know what? HUGHES WILL TRADE FOR #2 and we're getting FANTILLI!
LFG!!!

We risked in taking Galchenyuk (did not play in his draft year), and failed.
We risked in taking Kotkaniemi (he was a reach because we needed a C), and we failed
We risked in taking A. Kostitsyn (a player with medical issue from a country producing few NHL players), and we failed.
And Caufield was not a risk at 15 after dropping there. He was then the obvious pick. Price was a risk.
Risking is not always the way to go.
I’d say in some cases it’s more of a “reach” than risk and in others it was development.

Most scouts have put Mich at number two in terms of talent. This wouldn’t be a reach pick and we’ve got a good development staff.

I think if he’s there at five we have to take him. Won’t surprise me if the Sharks take him before we have a chance.

Imagine every team ignores Michkov and COL ends up drafting him at 31

Didn’t mean to bring up Newhook in that fashion. We already have two threads discussing that.

Was just hoping not to see Sakic killing it with those picks tomorrow, is all.
