I think the same. I don't know if Washington passes on him but he's either going right at the top or he drops. All depends on how teams feel after the interviews.

If there's any chance he comes early he will go as high as 2. Unless he lies to everyone except us I doubt he makes it to 5 without some red flag that scares most teams off.

If for whatever reason we pass, he's not getting passed Philadelphia.

Didn’t mean to bring up Newhook in that fashion. We already have two threads discussing that.

Was just hoping not to see Sakic killing it with those picks tomorrow, is all.

Sorry for the confusion.

In another life, I would be a KING of propaganda. In this one, I'm wasting my talent on Hfboards.

Give me a zeitgeist to introduce, and within a year everyone is singing to my song, both adversaries and followers alike, all dancing around the line I've traced in the sand, fighting each others on this frontier. Control the line, control the world.

The techno nerds have it all now, but they have no sense of beauty, of poetry. I propose a more magical dictatorship.

Michkov is the pick.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

This "they know better" mentality is a double-edged sword.
They better know better, otherwise I'm marching into Molson's office and demanding he replace HuGo with me (I could use the money); and I won't settle for the reasoned excuse that I don't have the necessary qualifications either.

The disappointment will be immeasurable, and I am so ready for it , I have become an immovable object , nothing they do can hurt me anymore

I’d say in some cases it’s more of a “reach” than risk and in others it was development.

Most scouts have put Mich at number two in terms of talent. This wouldn’t be a reach pick and we’ve got a good development staff.

I think if he’s there at five we have to take him. Won’t surprise me if the Sharks take him before we have a chance.
I prefer Leonard, but Michkov would be exciting.

Excuse me??? I think *I* should get absolute carte blanche. Actually, they should hand ownership of the team to me for free, and I would bring glory back to this town.

Read this recently and I think it hates mentioning: The problem with Mich isn’t that we won’t have him for three years, it’s that we won’t have any control over his development. That’s going to be the sticking point.

Personally, I think he’s worth the risk. Just draft the guy.
